I can’t help but smirk at the people who continue to suggest Hames isn’t quite good enough! Yea, considering she is our future and we should be investing in her. Lol, isn't that his point with kubik? gotta laugh at this donuts guy Don’t you get Orr next year? I’d imagine Hames isn’t the future for much longer. Just my opinion though.

I finally watched the replay. 1. I can't help but smirk at the fact that many of the Nebraska fans who are now applauding Kubik, chanting for her to get B1G FOY, etc., are many of the ones who were demanding for Davis to start and said that Davis was key to our success, Kubik wasn't ready for elite volleyball, yada yada yada. As "I CALLED IT" here (for example), that investment in Madi at the beginning of the season is the only reason she's playing like she is today. Silly Huskers. 2. I think Minnesota looks so much better in a 5-1 with Miller and Samedy. If Miller can stay healthy, hopefully they can reintroduce some wrinkles into the offense, and get Samedy going in the backrow again. Taking Samedy out, they literally have 0 proven leaders on the court for 6 rotations. Rollins needs to get out of her passing funk. And I don't really understand how strictly they are following Hugh's "low error" policy, since some of Hart's best rips tonight were OOS bump sets 10 feet off of the net. Regardless, good win for the Huskers. Hames needs to figure out how to connect with all of her hitters in a single game. Her connection with Stivrins was just not it tonight. Her connection with the pins was solid. I can’t help but smirk at the people who continue to suggest Hames isn’t quite good enough! When did I suggest Hames isn't good enough?

My post was more tongue and cheek based on how much criticism people give her, hence the emoji. You said “Hames needs to figure out how to connect with all of her hitters in a single game. Her connection with Stivrins was just not it tonight” which is just an observation. Connection with a middle is more of a two way street, too often all those misconnections fall on setters.

Her connection with the pins was solid. Where did up you come up with this nonsense? There has never been any noticeable vocal movement for Davis to replace Kubik among Husker fans after the spring match vs Colorado State last April in McCook. It was clear then she had made the transition from being an elite high school player to being prepared for the riggers of high level college volleyball. It was also clear, IMO, that her volleyball skill set was superior to Davis. From the moment Kubik stepped on campus last January only a volleyball novice would say she wasn’t ready for elite level volleyball. Maybe someone wanted Davis to play, but they couldn’t credibly say she was better than Kubik. I’ve never heard anyone say that. It was clear to me after watching the UnderArmor game last Dec that Kubik would most likely be starting as a freshman and that if Davis was ever going to be in the starting line-up she would have to beat out Sweet. Davis is a great athlete, but she can’t match Kubik’s VB skill set.

On Nebraska fans! Don't group them as being critical of this player or for that player! Some fans critique this player and that player and others do not! Some say this player should be in instead of that player=== bla; bla; bla! (Dam Computer: Keeps posting before I'm done!) It's a good thing we have coaches! FANS DON'T KNOW ANYTHING! GO HUSKERS

Minnesota's passing didn't break down by itself. Nebraska made it break down. Not sure what you are saying. I am objecting to the narrative that Stivrins inspired the Huskers. She was trying the same thing in g4 and they lost 11-25. Just think it's odd that Miller's serve and Kubik's hitting take a back seat to this "speech." Thats a far better way to put it. While Stivrins may have got some blood pumping, that takes a backseat to some tough serving by Miller and Kubik showing more confidence and fight then anyone else on the floor. Thats a far better way to put it. Plus: I love how Coach Cook slowly pulled all the starters out in Set 4 except Sun, and then reinserted them back in before set point - 'Win as a Team, or Lose as a Team'. Great shock value and wake-up call. * All of the separate actions together created a 'perfect storm'.

True; but he knew the set was lost; so rest the starters and at the same time give the bench valuable playing time! GO HUSKERS
