For everyone allegedly “overlooking” her. Overlooking her ? How? It’s a reference to a post from a few days ago. People were extolling Vander Wow and then someone replied we shouldn’t overlook Spears. It was a harmless comment made with the best of intentions, but personally I found it kind of funny.

But I’m also sure the kids who are currently at Texas who have been eager to play will have a lot to say about who sees the floor as well.

http://instagram.com/p/C6XR3f2shs5 The USAV Nationals 18U Open All-Tournament Team was highlighted by a pair of Texas commitments. MVP: Cari Spears, OH (‘25) TAV All-Tournament: Abby Vander Wal, OH (‘25) 1st Alliance Side note- fellow TAV OH, Suli Davis is going to be a star at BYU. I’m confused by this, because the official USAV tournament team (according to TAV) didn’t include Cari and had Suli as the MVP.

let's see what happens when the transfer portal opens tomorrow
i still think it makes sense to have a 4th middle (due to possible injuries & has bunton fully recovered from her injury?)...or maybe air byrd will cross-train @ middle

It seems like all of those volleyball sites have their own "All tournament teams" after

PrepVolleyball is its own stand alone entity and they selected who they thought should be on the team. TAV posted the team chosen by USAV tournament officials on their socials.

We will have a lot to say about who sees the floor, too. The impact will be considerably less. But we're going to have a lot to say. Believe you me.

Good luck to our 2029 longhorns participating in the Spring NTDP series in Bradenton, Florida next weekend!
MB Taylor Harvey (Bountiful, UT) OH Abby Vander Wal (Elmhurst, IL) OH Cari Spears (Dallas, TX) OPP Addison Gaido (Georgetown, TX)
As well as several younger players that I personally would love to see become longhorns in the future.

I assume Henley Anderson. We also need a setter. Who are the top ones in the '26 class?

At setter, Houston Skyline’s Blair Thiebaud is an elite instate one to watch. However, she’s from College Station so don’t know how far we’ll get there. I think it’s interesting that we’re hosting that camp this summer across the country in Pittsburgh. Which is where Isabelle Hoppe is from, who was at our elite camp last year. Could be nothing but I am keeping an eye on her for sure.

JE lost 3 Nattys with short setters being abused, IMO he's done with setters who aren't at least 6' (or close to it)
