taylor and spears visited texas quite a few times last season not sure which visits were their official ones...i believe spears, avw & taylor are coming to texas in january Yeah, I recall Spears took her time and made (official?) visits to a handful of schools. Most thought Taylor Harvey was headed to Stanford, so her taking her time wasn't a surprise (based on Stanford admissions process) before finally selecting Texas somewhat late in the process. Vander Wal committed early last summer; I don't recall any discussion of visits to Texas since that time. I believe she's relatively quiet out on social media; so, doubt she made any posts regarding her official visit. Vander Wal visited last fall with Krueger and Gaido. |

Logan or the other broadcaster during tonight's match on SECN+ stated that some of our 2026 verbal commitments were making their official visits this weekend. I didn't know that was allowed this early. When the contact rule was changed to not allow contact before the summer preceding the recruits junior year, the official visit rule was also changed to allow official visits starting with their junior year. I beleve the excat date is the 15th of August of their junior year. |

Do we know about Krueger or Gaido? IDK about official visits, but they're local. Gaido was at at least one match last season when Taylor Harvey was still unannounced Since it's still district play for the high schools, I would expect that all of the local commits were playing last night. |

I honestly have never understood why the rules about official visit start dates differ across sports.
D1 women’s basketball recruits may begin taking official visits in April of their junior year of high school, beginning the Thursday following the Women’s Final Four tournament.
I mean, they all sign their LOI's beginning the same dates in November of their senior season; well, football in December.

Dripping Springs played Lake Travis last night. Henley had a big night it looked like. I am sure her official starts today. Callie and Addy will probably be there this weekend. Glad to see Taylor in town as well. |

It's adjustment to try to get ahead of the timeframe when many players start to commit in that sport. |

I think we may look for a 3rd DS and a solid passing OH.

I think we may look for a 3rd DS and a solid passing OH. there's a limit of 18 players on next year's roster (new ncaa rule)...we currently have 20 players on the roster right now...5 players will be leaving the program (super seniors) & 5 incoming freshman will join the program...so 2 additional players will need to leave the program to be in compliance...to use the transfer protocol more than 2 players would need to leave the program |

I think there will be more than 2 players (other than seniors) leave and I wouldn't be surprised if they got a ds in the portal. Emma and 3 players that won't have any experience at all. Now if they run they run a 6-2 again next year you might not need as many. If a Great OH enters the portal they might add a player there. I think they like what they have on the pins.

Personally I don't think we'll be picking up another DS - with Halter/Krueger already in the lineup, any quality DS would think twice about transferring to Texas. Plus we have Emerick, Binney and Ramierez (assuming they stay) |
