The hitters/middles saw Swindle commit, know they’ll have an amazing setter for four years, and now the dominos fall into place. Muwahahaha. Please 😌 WTF? Texas has zero problems recruiting hitters (...they have zero problems recruiting any positions for that matter). They don't need Swindle to snag recruits. Having Swindle absolutely helps get recruits... maybe sways a few on the fence, or makes Texas look more appealing if they aren't in the same region of the US... having a top setter absolutely helps. The other programs without a needed 2023 setter would agree.

Does this mean they’re staying one more year the juniors?

Does this mean they’re staying one more year the juniors? Yes, that's likely the deal. That's gonna be a big senior class send off for 2022. In an Out Of System podcast, Jhenna said she would stay and Logan as well. Plus, now it's listed on the official roster. Also, Skylar and Molly have an option to stay one more year. Molly I could see but Skylar idk. By next fall, I can see her getting huge offers for a professional contract. The sky is literally the limit for her.

Does this mean they’re staying one more year the juniors? Logan and Jhenna are fourth year players that have not redshirted. They were listed as seniors on the roster and just changed to juniors. Along with Jhenna's statement, that's a good indication that the two of them are returning to utilize their "free" year. Also Sidney (fourth year with no redshirt) and Brionne (fifth year with one redshirt year) are still listed as seniors which seems to indicated that they will not return for their "free" year. Molly, Skylar, and Asjia are all actual juniors with Asjia being a redshirt junior. No classification was changed for players like these three who still have regular eligibility remaining so I'm assuming it was only done for the true seniors with no regular eligibility left after this season.

so basically, for next year, we return every single one of our starters outside of Bri and Syd in theory. Singletary could step into that starting spot, and Halter is probably the main candidate to be the next DS. I could also see Molly stepping into the starting middle spot her senior season, then we could move Skylar to the right and have Melanie/Kenna Miller/Madison Williams be the second OH. Parra would probably play six rotations and she would likely DS for the other two. but we still have this year to think about lol.

For real, this is a championship caliber team, which could mean these girls would encourage high recruits to come play at Texas. For 2024, I would imagine we would be going for an OH and MB, right? Should we get that thread started?

For 2023, we now have verbal commitments from: 6'5 OPP, Auburn Tompkinson 6'4 OH, Sydney Helmers 6'2 S, Ella Swindle I would think an MB would be needed to pair up with 2022 MB Mariana Singletary in a few years. That's a nice looking front line...
