This is the Texas Recruiting Thread...plz take that elsewhere thanks I guess it's inappropriate for me to comment on my appreciation for the alliteration. "badgerbill broadcasts, 'Become a Badger, Byrd!'" You’re on a roll today.

I believe Byrd's final 5 are Texas, Florida, Purdue, penn state, and Wisconsin. I think that list has been trimmed down cuz she doesn’t follow Purdue or penn state anymore. Interesting development if it's truly indicative of her finalists. Doesn't appear she's taken additional visits since Wisconsin and Texas. Thought she might take her official visit to Florida this past weekend since the football team was hosting Alabama; but, doesn't appear to be the case.
So weird to get accustomed to juniors taking officials during the Fall when normally it was only the seniors who could do so.

I’m with you. For sports where the highest tier talent is identified so early, it does make sense. When official visits were only for the senior year it felt like they were only taking the one official visit because the recruitment was done. I like that the kids can at least take some official visits before a choice is made. Still throws me for a bit of a loop, though.

Byrd recently took a UF visit from her stories. She went to a football game.

Watching Devin in the U18s, she's a decent passer. I wonder if JE would slide Molly to the middle and let Devin play all six rotations. I would love to see her hit the D ball out of the back row.

This...or she would red shirt to replace Logan's role and solidify her passing, which she could certainly do. We have Singletary as MB who is great in front and back of the setter.

Once we know who will return for the 2022 season, then we'll be better able to gauge how the 2022 signees/newcomers will best fit in the lineup/depth chart during their first season at Texas. I'm just glad Devin is coming to Texas as it gives us some good options.

Do we know if Devin is coming in the spring, or waiting until august?
