To be fair, coming close and not getting picked for the U18 team makes the Carlini connection even stronger. Still have no clue what the poster above is criticizing about. Clearly she’s going to be a top setter in her class and a great score for Texas.

I gotta think Halter is happy with her choice as she's going to have the chance to steal the libero jersey for next year. We need more stud DS/L recruits!

Truth hurts? Clearly. So. Effing. true. Please go look up the word ‘opinion’ in the dictionary. And then please go take a walk around your block so you can chill out. You’re (probably) a grown ass man on here really thinking you did something. Sorry❄️, but a ranking in Prep VB or Volleyball Mag is the poster child of “opinion”, but the selection on the U18 team is more objective given the people who were on the selection committee actually coach volleyball for a living and actually watched them practice and interacted with them as they played together. Fact: Two 2023 setting prospects were put up side to compete for a place on the U18 team and the Texas recruit was not picked (not an opinion). Also, one of those “opinions” was a coach on the Texas staff… who is suppose to be a setter coach and expert. He had a chance to pick Swindel-and he did not. . . Guess that was his “Opinion” too. . . You calm down and take care now. . . ❄️ Sorry

I’m going to assume your the parent of the the number #1 setter otherwise I’m not sure I understand the need to ensure the VB world knows a HS junior is #2 vs #1. I don’t follow HS VB, she may be 10th for all I know.

When it was decided there was even more controversy. Having a setter not picked for a certain team doesn't mean one is better than the other. it means the coaches for that specific team liked a combination of skills for the way they wanted their team to run. put different coaches on the team and you might see a different team. so ignore the troll and let's resume our thread and ignore her.

Yeah, I’m a troll. .. tell yourself that. The point was: one of the stepford Texas posters made a claim that was false. He posted that Swindel is the number one setter in her class (2023)…sorry, the USA volleyball collective ruled on that this past summer when the selected another 2023 setter instead of her. Swindel is a good setter, but she is not the number one recruit in the class-USA volleyball has ruled on that. just like you labeling yourself a “coach”…you know you aren’t. Stop posting things that aren’t so. . .

Ella gives me Carlini vibes! Both have similar dispositions and the top setter of their class! Yeah, that’s why she went to the U18 selection camp for the U18 US team in July and didn’t get picked to be on the team. But another 23’ setter did get selected. I guess the selection committee for that team doesn’t agree Swindle is the top setter the 23’ class. Texas asst coach Morrison coached that team. Life doesn’t alway agree with VT fantasies. . . Sorry. Maybe she’s the second best. . . Texas VB is use to that . . . ✔️🏐 She is prep volleyball #1 ranked setter: yes? Then she is! No question and know photo can change that! And then there’s this: your expert J. Morrison only took a bronze: so maybe they did take the weong setter?? Or the wrong somebody becUse they came up short!! Troll away DW

Stop posting things that aren’t so. . . Yeah, cuz we all know players from South Dakota have worked out so well at Nebraska in the past. If Orr is as good as expected, this setter from SD will be fortunate to be the starting setter at Nebraska for 2 seasons, and most likely just 1 season now that it looks like Orr will get a medical redshirt (unless she transfers out getting antsy before she gets her opportunity). Some recruiting services rank based on the current. Some recruiting services rank on how they'll project in college. And, I'm assuming selections for these USA teams is based on how a player performs for a few days prior to the selections. So, that is the subjective opinion of a handful of coaches..

Can we be excited for our damn recruits? What tf is your problem? Go troll on someone else’s team page. I can’t even begin to imagine why you have this complex against Texas but it’s truly sad. Even worse that you can even see it when several posters have commented on your %*$#ty takes. Seriously, take a break and get some help.

Baby, I was the OG poster and I’m really not bothered by the opinion of some wack-job poster on here. Be blessed 😘 Swindle is the #1 setter prospect for the 2023 class. 🙃

It's who has the best chemistry among the players selected running the system USAV implements in a two week training block. This has almost no bearing on which players will have a better collegiate career and you are absolutely kidding yourself if you think otherwise. I can name plenty of players who never even made the USAV youth/junior teams that have been multi-year 1st/2nd team All Americans, and players selected to the GNT and YNT who have ridden the bench in college. Frankly I think nit picking accolades between two elite prospects is silly. Both setters are good prospects.

So, that is the subjective opinion of a handful of coaches.. just to comment on Orr, she is as good as advertised if not better… she’s a freak of nature with her massive hands! I’ve seen video of her playing at Nationals and won the MVP award for the 17s open as a 15 year old. If she wasn’t injured she’d be starting over Nicklin right now I promise you. As a sophomore in high school she would go to the Nebraska camps and Cook would turn to Nicklin and say “Can you do that?!” After Orr would practice. I’m terrified of her once she gets on the court. She’s going to be the starting setter on the USA team without a doubt in 2028 if not sooner. So needless to say, Bergen will be lucky to start for 1-2 years. I foresee Nicklin transferring for her last year next year because Orr has the reigns! Just watch! And that’s that Nicklin is a great setter in her own regard! It’s just that Orr is a freak! The control, pace, location, IQ, and court awareness she has is unmatched. My bad I know this is a Texas thread but Orr scares me with what she’s capable of doing. But other than that, I am so stoked for Ella! Hook’em!!!
