Does anyone even know who we’ve gone after and hasn’t already committed? I would imagine JE went after some top middles in the 2021 class but since both Bri, Asjia, and Molly will still be in school, they decided to go elsewhere. JE mentioned that we had some recruiting misses because girls had opportunities to play immediately and not wait/sit out a year. Makes sense |

Jerritt casually mentioned, "I was with someone on campus and when that was done, I got a chance to...."
I took that as he was hosting an unofficial recruit. And then, he mentioned that he's still got to fill that one slot for 2021 and that the new recruiting calendar is something he and his staff (and all other coaches) are still adjusting to.
He was mentioning [in context] that some of the girls from the 2012 team were going to meet up with Nicole Dalton, who was in town as a volunteer coach with the Jayhawks.
Also, in that pre-game meeting more than one question about Melanie Parra and he first had to say AGAIN that NCAA does not allow discussion of unsigned players. And then someone asked again, "Do you think Melanie is going to contribute immediately?"
And AGAIN and to tell them he couldn't talk about unsigned players. Waste of a question and everyone's time - I think they were trying to be cute.

Davis adds very nice depth to this roster, depth that was definitely needed.

Official on UT's site. I mean, it was long planned among parties, I assume. But that was fast!
I was texting with my daughter and she watches matches when she's bored at school (she has office assistant periods this semester). She was excited to get her, but she texted:
"She only played one rotation for them then she would get subbed out for jazz sweet"
When I asked again if she saw her play, she replied:
"Literally only one rotation, though"
Then I asked her who at UT she reminds her of, she said, "Micaya. She's a strong outside"

Lmao. I don't think that's the case, but maybe she is coming in '21. She's moved to the Austin area and seems excited to play for Texas so I think she will. |
