I think it’s impressive Wisconsin got the visit. There’s always a chance with a recruitment if you can get them on campus. But it’s still Nebraska, Stanford, and Texas recruiting on a different level. At least at the high school level. It will be interesting to see where Harvey ends up. I’ll also say Wisconsin is doing just fine with their talent acquisition. I’d be careful about how gleeful I get if I were a Nebraska fan. You guys have been running circles around the rest of us for the past few years in recruiting and the team is finally looking like it. But lose twice again to Wisconsin this year and it’s going to take the air out of those tires a bit. Meh, I could lose every match to Wisconsin and I'd still be gleeful about top recruits turning them down. Such is the nature of our relationship. Well, such is the nature about following recruiting. It’s odd I get validation regarding my school because some high school kid chooses to play here, but I do. And I like seeing my biggest rivals get rejected. It’s been that way for 50 years. It’s part of why I always loved following recruiting so much. And it does matter. But I also remember beating OU in nearly every head to head recruiting battle in football to the point they mostly stopped going after the same players, and still getting our teeth kicked in when October rolled around. That’s not fun, either.

Wisconsin rents most of its left sides anyway. They’ve been renting the Big 10 conference trophy for 4 years now.

We’re looking for a middle to round out the class. It’s no secret who the top target is and I would say Texas is in a pretty good position. I think family ties will be the biggest factor that could have an impact though.

I hate to pivot, but that Class of 2026 in Texas is damn good.
That’s almost always a freezing cold take when talking Texas prep classes, but this 2026 group is a lot of fun.

Second the 2026 comments.
Udoye, Anderson, Thompson on the pins all attended Texas camp this summer along with many other stops. + Texas A&M Freshman OH Bianna Muoneke has a younger sibling to keep an eye on.
Keoni Williams at MB is super athletic and Texas/Nebraska are going to be all over her recruitment.
