Do you know how they compare as passers? Id be interested in knowing. I only saw a few matches (at Hawaii for example) and to my eyes Ungar passed and defended very well. Ungar passed a 2.05, Dickson passed a 2.24. Dickson had a good pass percentage of 58.1%, Ungar had a good pass percentage of 44.9%. Ungar passed worse than Stivers, Rose or Dvoracek. Her numbers were comparable to McRoskey from last year. As I said in my initial post, Ungar isn't Dickson... If she is the Libero and passes the same as she did in her first two years you'll notice the drop off.

Thanks for the info, I like her game so I’m going to say she’s developing and will get the numbers up in ‘20!

Losing Dickson hurts either way, but Ungar will have have to pass better if CPOLY are hoping to get back to the top of the BW.

Have a hunch coaches Walters & Borchin will be keeping an open mind on the libero spot for team CAL POLY.

The players know this and will compete for that spot. Competition fuels improvement.

Ungar will have to get better either way because both her and Rose will be important in SR with the best passer (Dickson) graduating. Is there another DS coming in?

She was good defensively and led well but Dickson was a better passer. If Poly fans don't think the team will miss her they're in for a surprise.

As we speak I think CAL POLY has no one to replace Dickson. With the confidence and/or experience of a Mika. Why,...it will be so important to either find a quality transfer or groom someone in the off season. Keeping Ungar and Rose as back-up players off the bench.

Cal Poly gets Libero The destination for one more of Nebraska’s four transfers is set.
Chen Abramovich said after spending a few months in her native Israel that she will enroll at Cal Poly in March. The Mustangs went 21-9 in 2019 and lost to Stanford in the second round of the NCAA tournament.
The 5-foot-6 defensive specialist played in one match in 2018 and did not appear in a match this season as she missed most of the year with an injury.

This is nothing but great news for Cal Poly. Position isn't a lock so whoever wants it has to earn it.

Such an important position on any volleyball team,...good seeing POLY's coaches raising the bar of who gets it.

Such an important position on any volleyball team,...good seeing POLY's coaches raising the bar of who gets it. It's more about adding competition for DS than Libero. Poly needs passers. I'd be very surprised if anyone other than Ungar or Rose is wearing the off-colored jersey in the Fall.
