Unpopular opinion : UNC just looked bad in that set. They couldn’t pass a ball to save their life and swung straight into large middle blockers out of system. I will give Hawaii credit later because they did look good, but everyone attributing that set score to Rasmussen sounds silly. We aren’t attributing anything to anyone. What we are saying is that Jolie’s presence on that floor as we’ve seen from the beginning of he season until her injury....has made a ton a difference. Her presence, her vocal leadership, her guidance, and her aura on the floor lifts this team. It reminds me when she was on that floor to start the season and this team meshed extremely well.

You can just see it in her teammates body language Exactly. And she brings reassurance and ease out there. If they don’t see that then they haven’t watch UH volleyball this season or wasn’t paying attention.

Too bad we didn't take that 2nd set. This could have been over by now. Well...since UNC was robbed a bit in the 1st set (getting stepped on and injured and no call on the Hawaii net that most on here said was a net), UNC COULD have been up 2-0 in the match. I think UNC did pretty well traveling all the way to Hawaii and playing this late hour for them....and playing 5000 feet lower than they are used to.

Since Rasmussen entered the match has been completely lopsided; that ain't coincidental bud....

Jolie provided an initial emotional lift I'm sure ... but it was a solid all around effort by all ...

I wish UNC well because they are a great squad. But We’ve heard your last paragraph a million times from other fans for years. Aloha.

The response was on on "IF Hawaii could have" post.....2 can play on "IF's. Not excuses. The UNC setter has not been moving around like she was before being injured. No doubt.

Seeing that Ross was originally a DS do you all think Riley Wagoner could do what Ross is doing now?

I'll give UNC credit for giving UH everything they could handle in 1 and 2. The wheels fell off for them in 3 and 4 and Hawaii played better.... congrats on the good year for the Bears
