Creighton is 5-5 all-time against the Cyclones. The teams last met in the regular-season last year in Omaha, a 3-1 Bluejay victory. Creighton defeated Iowa State in five sets in 2010 in the only previous NCAA Tournament match-up in a match that also took place in Minneapolis.

I don't know who is playing opposite for Iowa State or Creighton. For Creighton, Annika Welty will be the starting opposite. She has started at RS since Kostelac's injury.

This match will be streamed live on BTN+, the link has been added.
Creighton has a link to Live Stats but it goes to NCAA website match page. I will add this link later when there is something there.

I don't know who is playing opposite for Iowa State or Creighton. Eleonor Holthaus is ISU RS. She rolled her ankle and missed the last two games. I saw a photo of practice and she was out of the boot and appeared to be practicing. If this happens, I could see ISU going back to the old line up with Schuler at L and Enna as DS.

For those who didn't see this on the other Mpls Subregional thread. Fun facts...
1) Creighton's first NCAA tournament win ever came in Minneapolis in 2010 against Iowa State. 2) Creighton is 7-1 all-time in 1st-round NCAA matches. 3) The Jays are one of 13 programs to win an NCAA match in each of the last four tournaments, and one of 15 programs to make the NCAA field this season and each of the previous seven seasons. 4) Creighton played Iowa State in Ames in a fall exhibition match on Aug. 23 and got swept 3-0 before winning the final two "for fun" sets. 5) Last year in the regular season matchup in Omaha, Creighton fell behind the Cyclones 1-0 and 11-18 in S2 before KBB made wholesale substitutions and Creighton rallied to a 3-1 victory. Prediction...Creighton beats Iowa State in a close one, 3-2. I wouldn't bet against Madelyn Cole, Brittany Witt, and KBB in a tossup match. But regardless of who wins Creighton-Iowa State, the winner is going to be executed by Minnesota on Saturday in an easy sweep. A Creighton team at full strength might've had a fighting chance. But without Kostelac, it's like going into the NCAA tournament without Taryn Kloth. Keeley Davis and Jaela Zimmerman are good, but not enough horsepower on the outside. That is where, in all likelihood, the live stats will be. NCAA will be handling most of the matches stats, same as last year it appears.

This is a game day bump. I will be heading over about 3:45, should be in PAV by 4 pm. I really look forward to seeing this match, I have never seen Creighton in person and here their coach is good. I am more familiar with Iowa State. Christy Johnson-Lynch and Kirsten Bernthal Booth are two great women coaches. Neither one has been enticed into the B1G 10. Maybe, someday.

This has to be one of the great matches of the day. Meanwhile Minnesota gets to lick some icing.

We are still not sold out. Some high up seats available for couples and singles available here and there. You can probably buy before the Iowa State-Creighton match but I wouldn't try to walk up before the Minnesota match and expect to buy a ticket (scalpers - maybe).
