Damn, I'm 0-3 right now after first three matches. I figured there would be at least a couple upsets in some of these tight first round pairings.

Florida State lost SIX times in the ACC? Yuck. Bye Three of those losses were to teams that didn't make the NCAA tournament (Georgia Tech and North Carolina 2x). |

I know it’s based on geographic proximity but I’m really over FSU being in our subregion over and over. FAU, USF, FGCU or Miami would need to make the tournament to take FSU's spot in our subregional. Otherwise, they'll always be heading to UF. I believe this occurred in 2017 with Miami. There’s been times in the past, though rare recently, when a team that was further away came to Gainesville and FSU was shipped elsewhere. But yes, our best hope is for other schools in the state to make the tournament or for FSU to get seeded. On the bright side, I’d rather the Gators play at home than travel to Tally (I’m still not over the 2004 loss to Stanford at FAMU). |
