We landed our first 2022 recruit, just time to wait to see who it is.
Also yet to get confirmation on the last 2021 from a few weeks ago

Any chance of two seasons next year, spring and fall? And if two, would that count for one year of eligibility or two? 😉

I was hoping we were recruiting her, very smooth setter and amazing defender plus a smart beach player. Happy to have her on board and glad we got another local player to stay home!

The world will go into chaos and the virus and pandemic will wipe out humanity. Sports and the lifestyle we have took for granted in the past will cease to exist. I doubt we’ll ever be able to have volleyball again. That’s my pessimistic point of view. My optimistic side is praying for a miracle and things get back to normal sooner rather than later. Ahhh sigh 😔

Jaclyn will be a second generation Bow, her dad John was an all-American baseball player for the Warriors and is in the top ten for multiple UH records. Her grandfather, who recently passed away made it to the pros for baseball. Quite the athletic family.

John Matias Jr. was a great slugger.

Nice on Matias. Correct me If I'm long but this whole additional year of eligibility should be cleared up by 2022. So., wouldn't that mean Matias is the only projected scholarship available we have in 2022? The junior class is just Gong (walk on) and Byrd. Actually TBH, if all five of the 2021 recruits are on scholarship than UH doesn't have any for 2022? I mean, we still don't know for sure if Springborn is on scholarship and I suppose one of the 2021s could be a walk on (thinking Ikenaga). SR: Akana, Igiede, Wagoner, Westerberg JR: Kiraly, Lang, Springborn SO: Ikenaga, Johnson, Temple, De Goede, FR: Matias That's 13.

I doubt Springborn is on scholarship this year. Unless she get Hellvig’s one for this year only but I would think Hellvig’s scholarship should go to either Gong or Hanawahine. Siena haven’t proven herself yet to deserve a scholarship IMHO. If UH can land the Polish girl then I think UH will be pretty set at OH but need another impact MB in 2022 to step in after Igiede and Westerberg graduate.

Some highlights of Jaclyn Was really impressed with her quickness for setting and digging up balls. Her quick sets to the outside were noteworthy and she's deceptive when she has options. Her sets aren't that smooth, some spin to them. Her credentials include training with the U20 Dominican Republic team

What does it have to do with volleyball? Didn't someone say she's from Punahoe? She's Punahoen.
