That may be why the first thing I said was “Tyler’s playing success in setting” Usually when someone has had that type of experience, or expertise, they are more successful training setters. Not as much training middles and defense. Didn't he train Hunter while at NU before. I believe I read somewhere that she gave Tyler a lot of credit for her improvements. If I recall Tyler did coach the middles/blockers in 2017. Cook warned him he would have to be patient with Briana Holman because he would be her fourth coach in four years. It would take time for her to believe in him and what he was trying to teach her. His comment about Annika Albrecht being the best blocker on the team because she sees the game so well even though she was "undersized". His comments about Sidney Townsend stating we have got to figure out a way to get her on the floor. Of course Kayla can take most of the credit for that and changing they way they approached digging. And yes there is no doubt he helped Kelly Hunter.

Holman; "But NU coach John Cook said Holman isn’t coasting on her athleticism as a senior, instead becoming a role model for younger players in how much time she dedicates to preparation. Holman, a professed visual learner, watches film several times a week with assistant coach Tyler Hildebrand. On Mondays, she’ll review her performance from the previous weekend. Tuesdays, she may watch video of professional players, paying close attention to the technique of Foluke Akinradewo, a U.S. Olympian and former Stanford teammate of Husker volunteer assistant Kristin (Richards) Hildebrand. “I see a major commitment in her and it’s paying off,” Cook said. Albrecht; “I think with our class that came in, and Kelly before us and the girls ever since, I think we’ve all come in and we really do dream big,” Albrecht said. “We dream of these big spotlight moments and the Final Four, and we dream of playing in the national championship game every year.” Cook said Hildebrand had a huge role in Albrecht’s improvement. “Tyler brought some new things to how we train and how we play the game, and she was able to take some of that and really help develop her,” Cook said. “So I probably developed her, and she’s tired of listening to me, and now she had this whole new way of looking at the game and playing the game. She’s really benefited from that and embraced that.” You can read about Sydney on page 186 books.google.com/books?id=K5UtDwAAQBAJ&pg=PA182&lpg=PA182&dq=briana+holman+four+coaches+in+four+seasons&source=bl&ots=rqfLZUc2wu&sig=ACfU3U1Dx9AyWj9GCYEt4gtLdm0tFiZ_jQ&hl=en&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwjHtOCI08jqAhWzOn0KHZleASkQ6AEwAXoECAsQAQ#v=onepage&q=briana%20holman%20four%20coaches%20in%20four%20seasons&f=falseWEOFEO, Everybody stepped up in 2017 The Huskers couldn’t have gotten to this point without some serious growth along the way. Nearly every member of the regular rotation was either new (freshmen and redshirt freshmen) or in a new role. Foecke transitioned from a pure outside hitter into a six-rotation player, meaning she played all the way around including in the back row. In the first 16 matches of the season, Foecke averaged 3.2 kills per set while hitting .219. Over the last 14, those numbers jumped to 3.9 kills per set and .379 hitting. She has settled in and is playing at an exceptionally high level. Junior Kenzie Maloney shifted over from defensive specialist to the libero role, stepping in for one of the best Nebraska has ever had in Justine Wong-Orantes. Maloney struggled a bit at times early on as evidenced by her 16 service errors in her first 24 sets (with just four aces). After settling in, Maloney has recorded just 18 errors in 79 sets while serving up 20 aces. Senior Sydney Townsend slid into Maloney’s old role as defensive specialist and recorded 245 digs this year after having just 211 through her first three seasons. True freshman right side hitter Jazz Sweet and redshirt freshman middle blocker Lauren Stivrins stepped in for Kadie and Amber Rolfzen, respectively, and have played well. Even Holman, who was the one player who did not really see a significant change in her role, had to adjust to a new position coach in Tyler Hildebrand after Chris Tamas left to take the head coaching job at Illinois following the 2016 season. “Briana Holman’s had four coaches the last four years — coaches at LSU, Dan Meske here, then Chris [Tamas] and now Tyler [Hildebrand],” Cook said. “Here’s a kid who has literally been abandoned four times in college. So we bring Tyler in, she doesn’t know Tyler from anywhere so for her to accept him and continue to work with him — and it was not pretty at the beginning.”

Jazz Sweet & Lexi Sun, along with some other Huskers, encourage us to wear masks so we can have Fall sports.

They keep advertising a "Colosseum" mask at me, but whenever I go to the site, it's always "Image Coming Soon." I'd be willing to buy one if it's the logo in my avatar, but looking at other products on the site a lot of them say "Colosseum" and look like they have nothing to do with volleyball.

The ear loops are comfortable... but they're super thin and yea the tearing is going to happen :/

Saw this from Coach Pettit today. Really surprised he has Stanford in the third tier. I don't think it's a mistake that he has the first tier listed in that order.

Glad to see I'm not the only one not so high on minnesota... I keep seeing Wisc/MN as a 1A/1B in the B1G..... but to me that's Wisc/Neb with MN being a distant 2
