does anyone think if there is a spring season then Texas should play in spring instead of fall? I enjoy watching volleyball just as much as anyone but I'd rather watch high level volleyball and it's just not the same without the big 10 or pac 12.

big12 saying that both the soccer and the volleyball will be conference opponents only Hopefully they will be allowed to play back to back (Fri/Sat). A 10-12 game schedule would be tough....

Back to back in one location is the most likely outcome. So it would be a 16 game season and probably a conference tournament in one location.

I wonder if NCAA calls of championships if that will be enough to have other sports besides football push to spring. Kinda less motivating knowing you’re not playing for an NCAA title against the best.

Of course it's not Wisconsin or Stanford but this is still a competitive sweet 16 and the elite 8 is a lineup that can happen regardless of what teams are playing. This is of course if there is an ncaa tournament.

I don't know how else to tell you this: there will be no fall NCAA championship. Once the WCC joins the Big East in pulling out, the non-competing teams will cross the 50% limit, and the fall championship will be cancelled.

I don't think we will have a spring championship either. I'm just saying there still are competitive teams left that are playing in the fall.

Just curious. Has anyone with inside information regarding Texas heard anything about an orange and white scrimmage since we are playing this fall?

Once the WCC joins the Big East in pulling out, the non-competing teams will cross the 50% limit, and the fall championship will be cancelled. Big South already said no sports until after fall, so we are over 50% even before the WCC announces. I think there are a bunch of smaller conferences that didn't want to be the one to push over 50%. I expect a lot more to announce now. Now I am wondering how many more than 39 are willing to stay in the fall? Is it going to be 291 to 39?
