Hey, I get that it can feel like you are being personally attacked if you read something that doesn't say your favorite team is great. No problem, i was just having some fun with you. I hope it didn't come off as anything else. I do very much appreciate all your posts and time you spend on analysis. i enjoy reading it all. It isn't often that I think UCSB has a real chance to get to the last game of the NCAA season but this year may be it. Definitively a few pieces need to fall into place still but less so than everyone but UH. It is going to be a fun season to follow regardless of which team you are rooting for.

Big West goes 5-1
Northridge continues to eke out losses in 5 sets - they just can't pull out a 5 setter, this time to David Letterman U.
big night though with the wins over Lewis/Stanford/UCLA - that's huge for the conference

What up with the MPSF? They’re stumbling, I considered Stanford & UCLA as league favorites. Now it looks like BYU is the big kahuna in the MPSF. Well congrats to UCI & UCSD for their signature wins. Looks like the BWC is the big bully again.

Apparently UH still has to figure out which setter should best start.

Took Hawaii 66 sets before they lost one last year
got that out of the way early this year
SB has not lost a set
Beach have lost 6 sets in two weeks, vs last 2 years combined lost 1 set in first 2 weeks
Northridge 0-3 in 5 setters, and wouldn't surprise to see them have another tonite
Irvine one loss with the toughest schedule to date
UCSD the biggest surprise with wins over Loyola and UCLA

Big West 21-6
MPSF 21-12
MIVA 19-13
with the wins over Stanford,Lewis, and UCLA. The Big West has legitimately 4 of the top 7 teams and 5 of the top 10.
if Northridge had been able to eke out a couple of thosev vsetters the disparity would have been gigantic

If anyone is noticed Daniel Wetter (CSUN) is quietly putting up monster numbers. This past weekend he had 28 kills out of 36 swings with NO ERRORS! Also add in several aces and blocks. They went 1-1 this weekend so I'm not sure he'll get any sort of recognition but her certainly deserves it on an underachieving team!

Upcoming UCSB vs. BYU on Jan. 31st, 2020. Now that's going to be a barnburner for sure.

#3 UCSB vs #2 BYU in Smith Fieldhouse Fri, Jan 31 and Sat, Feb 1. BYU always has a strong crowd. UCSB will have their hands full. Prediction: UCSB loses their first set this season but pull out wins on both nights.

I'm rooting for SB, but I don't think they've been challenged enough yet. Stanford, on paper seems to have been their toughest opponent, but Stanford looks mediocre right now. BYU has played at Irvine (2x), Penn State (2x), at Lewis, and Loyola
BYU 3-0, 3-1
