Lauren Forte from Cal to Florida per instagram What are people’s thoughts. I don’t know much about her She has crazy talent, great get for the gators! Cal had two of the best middles in the conference expected to return, now they both are at top 10 programs since they are graduating...Covid hit Cal hard.

Woah, that’s big news. Sad for King. Top 10 senior aces in her class and never managed to crack the starting lineup after 5 years at Florida.

So which middle is going to serve? If we are running a 6-2 or 5-2, that's another substitution we'll burn on Cerame or Fischer's serve. There were times during the '17 and '18 seasons where we ran out of subs around the 24th or 25th point. Not sure I want to go back to that.

I don’t think they run a 6-2 I think it’s marlies show to run

Didn't even cross my mind until now that Forte won't be there until Jan. My fingers are crossed for King. She's bailed us out a lot of times and she is well deserving of a spot in the lineup. We would've lost to Long Beach State if not for her.

While we all our discussing King’s possible bench time, why are we not asking that of Dooley? Yes, huge in size but sooo slow... is she really that big of a difference maker? Idk. So maybe all middles should be in question?

Further to my last post, looking at some video, it looks like Forte is more of an in front of the setter type of hitter anyway. Dooley could not run a slide while king preferred that! So should we worry of king or Dooley?

So should we worry of king or Dooley? the starting middles will be forte and okammor. I’m willing to bet a ton of money on that. Dooley May came in for okammor occasionally

King is better on the slide and Wise was adamant Kramer was top dog although I truly believe she can hit more efficiently in front of the setter. And Dooley can ONLY hit in front. So I think it was putting pieces where they fit in a way... Also, I think had roles been reverse and Rachael had been M1(?), her and Carlton would've shut down everyone!! While King and Monserez would've done just fine too! Their proximity to each other in heights would've worked more to an advantage imo
