What happened with Cerame as libero in the beginning of the season, to the end and not being the primary DS. I think it’s interesting how that played out. I think Cerame is better at defense but Fischer is better at SR.

I would SERIOUSLY consider Sofia Victoria to start for the Gators... she is better than Daly Santana was at that age, hits very hard and is a SOLID serve receiver. much better than her sister Pilar too. Will she beat out Hall, Hammons and Ceasar? she played a small tournament in PR the federation did after the hurricane to keep players active when she was in junior in HS and looked better than most of the seasoned pro players from the PR league.

This is a match when she was 15 or 16, her team is smaller but the opposing team has some members of the PR national program and lower tier pro players, the main players all left to play overseas after the hurricane. Now she is even more developed. she is OH2 on the White shirt team on the first set then moved to OH1 on the second set.

Congratulations to Birdie Hendrickson, Missouri's Gatorade POY!!
Hendrickson Named Gatorade Missouri Volleyball Player of the Year
The accolades continue to roll in for Florida’s early enrollee
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Florida early enrollee Birdie Hendrickson was named the 2019-20 Gatorade Missouri Volleyball Player of the year Monday morning, as announced by Gatorade.
This is the second time Hendrickson has earned this award, taking home the honor in the 2018-19 season as well.
Hendrickson led Logan-Rogersville High School (38-5-1) to the class 3 state championship match. Along the way, she recorded 482 kills, 352 digs, 60 blocks, 28 assists and 19 service aces, all while recording a .390 clip. A four-time First Team All-State selection, she concluded her volleyball prep career with 1,524 kills and 1,131 digs.
In the classroom, Hendrickson has maintained a 3.71 GPA. Off the court, Hendrickson has volunteered locally with Missouri State Parks, and at a homeless shelter and food bank. She has also donated her time as a youth volleyball coach and instructor.
Hendrickson, who served as her high school’s outside hitter, was recruited to Florida as a setter.
“In a sport that has several distinct positions, Birdie managed to be a [dominant] player at all of them,” said Jarod Olson, head coach of Marshfield High. “She obviously can hit, but her defense is outstanding and her setting ability is taking her to Florida, even though she wasn’t used as her team’s primary setter.”
The award, which recognizes not only outstanding athletic excellence, but also high standards of academic achievement and exemplary character demonstrated on and off the field, distinguishes Hendrickson as Missouri’s best high school volleyball player.
Hendrickson joins three other current Gators who have earned Gatorade Player of the Year honors of their own: Thayer Hall (National POY), Marlie Monserez (Florida POY) and Haley Warner (Arkansas POY).

Will Anaya Martin see any playing time, especially with Birdie being recruited as a setter too?

Will Anaya Martin see any playing time, especially with Birdie being recruited as a setter too? Most likely not, she was a walk on at Louisville which isn’t quite the program that Florida is so I’d assume it’s be the same situation. (Although I would take dilfer over monserez BUT not gonna start that). I would assume Hendrickson and monserez are the two front runners for starting position in either order
