If it is beneficial to the team for Birdie to set a 5-1, would Mary be able to bench Marlie? I dont think she would and that makes me nervous. (Though a case could be made with all the arms on the roster for a 6-2) I think a 5-1 is almost always the way to go. Even more so considering Birdie is tall.

Monserez is also pretty good size with a strong block. I assume, Hendrickson being a UAA and USA experience, she must have better location than monserez, that’s Florida’s biggest setting issue as of right now imo |

The 2020 version of the Gators will be fascinating to watch. Three libero possibilities, 5 OH possibilities, 3 MB possibilities, 2 real setter possibilities, 4 OPP possibilities. I really think there is a "final four" berth if we make the right choices.

Yeah this year is final 4 or bust lmao It's interesting how often over the years that folks have been convinced our returners and stellar newcomers would mean a final four or dare I say a championship contender. I really hope this is the case for Florida in 2020, I do, but the first few matches of the season usually sober one up. The problem usually is that other teams out there have great returners and stellar newcomers too.  |

Wonder if Thayer sits out spring competitive matches so 1)we get a good look at T'ara, 2)postpones decision making about who plays where in the fall, and 3)improves chances of Thayer being healthy throughout the fall season.
