How does Madi Skinner get all-SEC honors but not FOY? THIS.

Lolling at pretty much all of Kentucky's lineup getting All-SEC. Save some for the rest of us 🤣 And congrats to Arkansas' Gillen, Head, and Watson! 4th place finish it would have been hard to not give any of them all conference based on their stats. If Goetz wasn't injured and had the statline the whole thing would honestly be iconic.

Missouri last four in, Arkansas and Tennessee last four out. If only they had upped it to 64 teams.

I don't know James, if they come down to 3 SEC teams among the last 4 in/first 4 out, it's clear they're close. So, consider who they beat? None of them beat Kentucky or Florida. Now, how did they do against each other? One of those teams went 3-1, the other 2-2, and the last 1-3. I'm picking the team that went 3-1. Unfortunately the committee didn't see it that way, and I think gave it to Mizzou on precedence, as I predicted (again, unfortunately)

Definitely think Tennessee was coming on at the end and playing better compared to Mizzou.

In a normal tournament year, how many SEC teams typically/historically make the tourney?

In a normal tournament year, how many SEC teams typically/historically make the tourney? Between 4 and 6. There were 6 in the 2019 tournament and 5 in 2018. JMO, outside of Kentucky and Florida, it appeared to be a down year in the conference. But considering the unusual circumstances, that's a difficult judgment to make.

I think in a normal year...meaning no pandemic...the SEC would have been just as strong as 2019 and maybe a little stronger. 6 bids would have been my guess but other than UK & UF I have know idea who those teams would have been without Covid, tracing & opt outs.

Ellie Ruprich deserved to make the All-Freshman team. Certainly over Awoleye, if not a few others.

What does it look like for returners next season? Will anyone be able to challenge Kentucky or Florida?

Rebuilding? we have absolute studs ready to make waves. Anyone would miss Lilley but I think Tharp will step into currys shoes with relative ease. Can’t wait to see Madi Skinner in her natural position.

If those 3 starters aren't using their extra year of eligibility, the major loss would be Lilley. But with that stacked offense, they'd still be very competitive with a decent setter. Tharp and Fischer will step in where the other starters left off no doubt.
