For example, adding the rotating tourney with CU/UW in 2018 turned a 2-1 or 3-0 weekend to an 0-2 weekend without changing the quality of team. I think the 4 conference wins in 2020 otherwise matches the high for a non-vacated season.

So you want to put a Volleyball court on top of ice, do you? aren't there many arenas that put a basketball court on top of a hockey rink? why would putting a volleyball court be any different? I don't think it is a flaw with the concept itself. Just with the execution/design of the new arena. Then again, I don't know what the specific problem is/was that forced the relocation.

I was thinking the same thing; there are around a dozen shared NBA/NHL arenas. I'm not sure how common it is in a smaller college venue but the technology is known and available.

Two things:
1. Anyone know what is happening with Junior MB Blythe Rients? She has not played this season and I don't believe I have even seen her on the sidelines the last game or two. Sure hoping she is ok. We have sorely missed her blocking and her being a versatile front row option (understatement). Plus, have always appreciated her on court positive demeanor and competitiveness.
2. Per her Instagram, Alyssa Worden, 2023 OH from South Elgin, IL has committed to the Hawks! Link to her highlights below. Congratulations, Alyssa!! Excited to see you on the court in black & gold! GO HAWKS!

Apples and oranges isn’t it? Putting a wooden basketball court isn’t the same thing as putting a teraflex volleyball court on top of a hockey rink. My understanding is the problem was with the change in the performance of the teraflex when temperature was dropped due to the drop in temperature because of the ice. Anyone who has sat on a basketball court that is placed on the ice understands how cold the wood surface becomes. . . And it is that temperature that changes the consistency of the teraflex. . . I haven’t heard any of the Iowa address this.
