So you chose to try to make your point by lying about the number of posters (3). You repeatedly do this. Here’s the consistent number of posters over the last 15 pages: Hawkfan PointHawks Gohawks Definitelymaybe PostPrime Volleyballfan2022 Rjaege Sky111 And a few others. Plenty of people generally interested in the underdog program in the most brutal league in the country. Also, at a school who has incredible women’s sports. The potential for this program is real. I SEE YOU HAWK ATTACK. MY BAD.

Anyone have scoop on how things went today for the Hawks in Omaha at TVA Collegiate Challenge? Saw that South Dakota State didn't make the trip due to weather.

Congratulations Iowa for the great season your women's basketball team had. Your team's play brings positive attention to women's sports/basketball, Iowa's athletic program, and also the B1G. And, what else can be said about your singularly, already historically great player Caitlin Clark? I was fortunate to stumble upon this article about Clark from the Brobible:
"But, she might be a better person than player, and that’s saying something. Recently, The Athletic wrote about how Clark is using NIL to make a positive impact in her community. She’s doing work for a food pantry, and refuses to take money in return.Boiler reached out to Clark through her uncle, who was helping with her business opportunities. The food pantry had every intention of paying Clark to help with fundraising and community outreach. But Clark insisted she wanted to help for free, and last year, it was her idea to hold an in-person donation drive. Anybody who brought a personal care item — including menstrual products, shampoo or soap — got to meet Clark and take a picture with her. Among those who showed up with items were some of the people who use the food pantry as a service. Clark teamed up with the food pantry for a month last year during March Madness to help raise $22,000 in honor of her No. 22 jersey. In a month, the pantry raised $23,000. This year, the pantry raised $16,000 in its first week of the campaign alone. Wow. Awesome work, Caitlin Clark."

The best to ever play in my opinion. Now for the controversy around Angel Reese. If Clark did what Reese displayed at the end of the championship match. (Chasing Clark around for 20 seconds showing her the hand and ring finger) EVERYONE would have said Clark was being classless and out of line. Now if Reese did what Clark did vs Louisville (waiving her hand in front of her face for 1 second after making a 3 pointer and running to her own huddle/ after an opponent was seen blowing kisses at Iowas bench and yelling “this is my gym bitch”.). EVERYONE would have laughed it off as not a big deal. Or maybe even appropriate. People trying to make this racial either do not know the context or they are being racist.

I’m not going to pretend to know what interpersonal dynamics these women have dating back to their AAU days. Reese felt some sort of way about how Clark behaved towards other players on other teams and she’s entitled to feel that. Classy or classless, doesn’t bother me either way. It was great entertainment, great basketball, the exposure for the sport was really cool, and however these women decide to conduct themselves is their prerogative. I don’t care to judge them for it.
I’m a fan of Clark and Reese. I don’t care for Mulkey but I have a lot of respect for what she’s accomplished and her success elevates the sport.

If it were men’s ball it wouldn’t be such a highlight. Clark can dish it too though. I forget which playoff game she told someone who was talking trash “you’re down by 15, shut up”. I love the trash talk to be honest. Bring it!

I was lucky enough to attend the championship game. With the exception of the outcome, the events leading up to the game and support the team received was nothing short of extraordinary. I dream of a day when I can support coach Barnes and the Hawks in the volleyball final 4. I’ll start with getting in! Go Hawks!

My sister/aunt/uncle went to one at the Ritz!

For the record also, Caitlin Clark is live right now on Outside the Line and said Reese is an incredible competitor, she has a lot of respect for her, and Reese should never be criticized for what she did. She reiterated what a lot of us understand, top tier athletes showcase their emotions in a lot of different ways, and Clark admitted she’s been given the grace to showboat her emotions without criticism and Reese should receive the same treatment.
