When selecting a PoW, are all of you considering that Jon Diedrich had an insane 7 kills/set average for the week? SEVEN KILLS every set. That is unheard of in the rally scoring era with games to 25. he's a freshman *clap clap clap clap clap* he's a freshman *clap clap clap clap clap*

That is a great accomplishment and to highlight it is well deserved. However, I can see Gardini, Cowell or some of the other outsides at the top ranked schools having similar numbers. Should we take into consideration the level of play, style of play and competition rather than just stats? Also, many teams move the ball around so a top player will never accumulate that many attempts. A more balanced offense. Great job by Diedrich and much applause. I look forward to watching him.

Gardini had a very impressive week but was still only at 4 kills per set. His .600 hitting % does raise the argument.

The only reason I didn't pick him was because of the competition PFW faced this weekend. I watched both games and could easily see why he was able to get his numbers that high. Were some of his kills just insane? Yep! Kid has a great ceiling and, to me, Santos is miles ahead in the setting department compared to last year's setting but Gardini faced a pretty decent Penn State team and still had some impressive numbers. But I could go either way, TBH.
