Spoken like a true parent... That's true, I am a parent although my daughter already graduated ...but not from VT. I'm local and a supporter of this team and many other teams in the ACC. So what you’re saying is that you have zero firsthand knowledge of what was happening in the gym. Just what you hear. I’m not sure how you can say she’s saying one thing outside of the gym and does another in the gym without actually being there. You know that kids and adults, for that matter...exaggerate things, right? Often to slant people toward sympathy. Or just to create drama. As a dad of a now graduated college athlete, I hope you didn’t take everything your daughter said about her coach and staff at gospel truth. It’s amazing to me what gets repeated when dealing with- ultimately- a coaches character. I’m a coach and have been for a very long time. As you can tell, this has struck a nerve. Do you know what I have to do after every player meeting? Ask them what they heard. You’d be amazed and blown away by what I hear sometimes. I could say 9 positive things and then one thing that needs improvement and I’ll hear either one that one thing that needs improvement...or “I suck”. I would encourage you and a lot of people on this board to FILTER what you “hear” and not just assume it to be the actual and full truth. This could very well be a situation where a couple people were unhappy and made a big enough outside/public stink. And you took the bait.

True that. Women especially young ones hear what they think you said and not what was really said. They often pinpoint one phrase and ignore the rest.

Clemson has released their spring schedule. I expect more schools will as we get closer to February. /photo/1
Pitt and Notre Dame will play Michigan at Western Michigan I believe.

New coach might not even have to move... just 30 minutes down the road.

She did good with Radford....and she did recruit some decent players, but this hire could go either way IMO.

Hire seems fine. Proven low-major coach for a program that has struggled recently. About all they can ask for, really.

I think she has some potential as a coach at this level....just hope VT gives her the resources she needs.

Heard NCSU is still at least one week away.

Pitt's full starting 7 make the roster. Go Panthers! Anyone know the requirements for all-academic teams?

Pitt's full starting 7 make the roster. Go Panthers! Anyone know the requirements for all-academic teams? "Minimum academic requirements for selection to the All-ACC Academic Team are a 3.0 grade point average for the previous semester and a 3.0 cumulative average during one's academic career. Athletic achievements during the most recent season are also considered in selecting the All-ACC Academic Team."
