Not saying this just because im a Heels fan....but add in UNC....I think come fall there all around game will be much better and the offense wont be a one trick pony.
Im curious how Pitt will fill their senior void, and how ND will handle their depth. They get Jemma Yeadon back, Meuth, Niego all who are good on the pins not to mention their incoming class. Bent is hands down OPP but they have so much firepower....need some better defense esp w libero play...
GT and UNC will probably have a harder schedule next year since they had tournament aspirations and their RPI wasnt helped by the weaker ACC schedule. Weaker as in, played top dogs only once.
I think Clemson takes a big step up.
good thing for ND, they have a big time Bro coming in. Hattie Monson Yea, if they need better libero defense, they have arguably the best best defensive libero in the 2020 class

Over .500% is a "big step up" for a program that finished a game out of last place Obviously you dont follow their recruiting...they are probably right there with ND for best class coming in this year with 4 UAA selections....Not to mention Clemson was plagued with injury again. Clemson will finish in the top half this year.

I see where you’re coming from, but having 4 freshman come in and expecting them to lead a team to multiple more wins in the college game is very hopeful. Maybe in 2 or 3 years they will be in the top half, and possibly would be expected to be there if they are getting better recruits, but the chances that 4 freshman come in and make that much of a difference is slim due to the fact a lot of times freshman aren’t as good as a lot of the older players yet. What’s clemsons highest senior ace? Did they have any first team UAA?

I am more or less looking at how the top of half of the ACC will be strong next year and there will be a big drop off IMO for the bottom half. I think clemson will be good enough to get to the top half of the bottom half. This should be the first round of Franklin recruits.

I dont think you can call Louisville top 8....they did make it to the elite 8 in the tourney so in a way yes, but it was through upset variety and they werent consistently beating top 10 teams all season. I think when claiming to be a top 25 team, that means a perennial national spotlight team. I think they are assessing that talent and claiming that potential. Some schools have already had 2-3 weeks of practice. Again, these were just some quick bits I was told with people close to these schools. Kind of their first impression spring take aways. I think the ACC will be much improved this year and the spring may be the first signal with some schools having early enrollees. I am interested to see how teams like Duke and NCSU do with the turbulence they had in the season and for those with off season turbulence. Those two are the ones to really watch for in regards to some big questions. ACC rising fast ... er, whoops that's another conference. We need a catchy phrase for the ACC.

Why? Does any other conference have a catchy phrase for it? Even the one you're quoting, for the AAC, isn't that just one guy saying it over and over? It's not really official in any way at all.

For NC State it probably makes sense to take their time in hiring a coach. Rushing is usually never a good idea. Plus with the new rules it's not hurting them as bad on recruiting as it would have in the past. But this getting a little crazy. If you follow the team and understand their weaknesses you'll know of the 3 2021 recruits, 2 will be absolutely critical to keep (See Below). Pack is crowded on the Outside so that will be interesting next season (see below). Middle should be a good mixture of young and old... Nwoke transferred in from Kansas last year and Sat, they should be able to lean on Chukwujekwu and incoming Frosh Shaak is a stud and I think will contribute right away. Evans senior year on the right. Serve receive has been a little suspect but defense has been strong in the past but Pack lost a good DS in Irvin so that will be a drop off.Keep Frazier healthy!
2021
Makenzey Krotzer - MB/RS 6'2 - Triangle VC. Long and thin. Will need to bulk up a bit to play at a high level
Amanda Rice - 6'1 RS Adversity - This will be Evans replacement. A lefty with a great arm and is playing up on 18s team this season which is ranked 8th according to PVB. While some of the OHs can move to the right. Rice is a lefty and will be comfortable on the right side coming in.
Maggie Jones - 5'11 Setter - Tri-State Elite. Long, athletic, plays high. Sharpton beat out McDaniels and they both will be Soph. If Sharpton starts again and runs a 5/1 I can't imagine McDaniels sticks around. Sharpton does a nice job but this looks like an upgrade here. Maybe run a 6/2 to get all these hitters involved early.
OH
Frosh
Taylor
Ferguson
Soph
McDonald Rowland Adam Jr. Parchment
Oh... and by the way there will be a new coaching staff who will be learning all about this team, so there is that!!!
