. It was shocking the other day to see how empty Pauley Pavilion was in the men's basketball game against USC. What were you watching? The UCLA-USC basketball game was sold out. It was the only UCLA game this season where Pauley was more than half full.

Boy, people are getting desperate for information. Because some of the names being thrown out are way out of left field... How about giving us some names that are a little closer to the batter's box. Well a few logical considerations: Given that USC is still in arbitration with Mick, and how messy the time with Crouch was, it would be hard to bring anyone from those previous staffs back (which is unfortunate, because I think Jason Kennedy would be an excellent option). They can't afford to wait for Karch or go interim, especially with the looming recruiting season. They need a staff in place within the next two weeks. A few feeler calls have already happened. The rest should be happening from today until the end of the week.

What happened to the rest of the staff when crouch left? Are they still in place and minding the store, or were they cut loose? Did Crouch take anybody with him or was it a solo move?

Crouch made the move solo, as of now. One of the staff members has been out interviewing. The other is still in the office and hasn't made any moves yet.

Just saw a pic tweeted by Beth 4 days ago of the pac12 coaches meeting and JJ is in the pic of head coaches, so partially answers my own question. Looks like Cook and Greeny were missing.

I'd wager she already knows the shortlist and probably has a fair idea who it'll be. It's no longer speculation if you know the answer. What jcv CAN do (and is doing) is help herd people away from incorrect answers... It's all info, you just have to know how to parse it.

That really doesn't give posters on here any realistic idea as to who is being considered.

I don't mind far-fetched guesses, but use some logic. There have been a lot of posts in here giving good potential information and half the posters have jumped off the deep end without critical thought. And @bigwestfan2 is right, I have a bit more insight than most on who is on the big list and who is on the short-list.
