You really are an absolute moron. When did I call the entire BIPOC community stupid? Are you really saying the entire BIPOC community are not vaccinated? In the same way that you like to disparage me, you disparage members of the BIPOC community and call them stupid because they don't follow the actions that you believe that everyone should. I call you an idiot because you are an idiot. To bring race into my comments is simply a moronic distraction. Get vaccinated is a message that has nothing to do with race.

No. I heard of a few cases where someone unvaccinated got measles. Something like an Amish missionary who caught measles in the Philippines (and yes some are fine with air travel), and then it spread like crazy back in his Amish community where most weren't vaccinated because the community was hesitant after a couple of kids were vaccinated and got sick in the 90s. There are some different cases too, like the Disneyland measles outbreak of 2014-15. Nobody knows exactly what the source was, but the first known case was an unvaccinated kid who then spread it to others. If he had been vaccinated, there's maybe a 100 times lower likelihood that he gets infected and then spreads it. It's always the hope that a potential patient zero is vaccinated and thus is far less likely to be infected and then spread it. Thanks BC! Forgot to add that in the Disneyland outbreak, there were quite a few vaccinated people who contracted measles. But that can happen when the vast majority of people are vaccinated and it's between 95-99% effective at preventing infection. And a lot of the people who contracted measles were infants who hadn't received their vaccinations or hadn't gone through the full cycle. Reducing the chances of there being a patient zero by a factor of 100 is a good thing. It would be ideal for as many people as possible to be vaccinated for any particular disease. Just because a vaccine doesn't stop the spread in every case doesn't mean it's not working any more than someone injured in a car crash wearing seat belts is a sign that the seat belts don't work. But absolutely others being vaccinated protects even the vaccinated. Here's a report on a measles outbreak where there was near 100% vaccination. So it can happen, but they tend not to be as bad. And as I noted, it's a lot better when the chance of the first patient being infected is close to zero.

Did you look at the material ? You might understand the racial component that you continue to ignore a little better. Or you can choose not to, that's also a typical cultural response.

There you go again looking down on the BIPOC community and some "educated" Democrats as well. How would I look down on the BIPOC community when I don’t know what the BIPOC community is? yikes

Psst... did you look at the material?Psst race has nothing to do with vaccinations. So that's a no then. That's fine, just say you didn't bother, or you didn't understand it, or you didn't understand how it applies. The video and especially the msn link are pretty straightforward. You claiming there isn't a racial component to people hesitant to getting vaccinated when two separate pieces of material might suggest otherwise is pretty dogmatic on your part but I get it. Cheers!

I am saying that race has nothing to do with doing the right thing and getting vaccinated. If you don’t want to be a part of society don’t get vaccinated. What does that have to do with race?

What does that have to do with race? My POV on that has been explained numerous times. I'm just happy you now know what BIPOC means. Baby steps.

Something about a useful idiot comes to mind… Not making this about race, just saying there is a racial component to all of this. Been saying that from the beginning, it's just that your head is so far buried somewhere that you can't hear. Or don't want to. Also if you looked at the video you'd see that some democrats were also hesitant.
