Number = Each teams' Rank in Domestic League in the 2019/2020 Pro Season (before all leagues were cut short due to COVID-19).

When compiling this list I included only American athletes from the top devisions in leagues from Italy, Turkey, Russia, Brazil, China, Japan, Korea, Poland, France, Germany, Switzerland, Finland and Greece as these are the most popular leagues those players land in.

Now obviously there are lower tier leagues in these countries but I didn't feel like doing THAT much digging. Besides, if an athlete isn't in the top tier league they didn't show enough skill yet and will hopefully develop and transfer to a more competitive team.

I will be creating a separate thread where we can discuss the most stacked teams across the various leagues where we see what other international talent our USA girls will be playing with.

It is worth noting that Japan and China are pretty tight lipped on their international purchases until closer to the start of their leagues so there may be more players that land there in the coming weeks/months. Plus there is usually an awesome thread for the Chinese League every year by alohavball so we have that to look forward to soon(ish).

I will edit this post bi-weekly as I secure updates by trolling this thread so ya'll keep posting links to rumors and official contracts as they appear!

Karakurt is going from Vakif to THY?

It's likely so. I think if it's true, it's a good move for her. She is staying on the bench at Vakif, but as a young player with great potential, she should be playing as much as possible.

That's pretty rad. I do hope eventually she will take over the helm of the USWNT. I think Miyashiro, Haneef-Park and Larson would make one hell of a coaching trio. I do fear that USA Volleyball is too much of a little boys club for that to occur. I would be happy to be proven wrong.

Can you explain the Moscow fiasco with Carlini? What is going on there?

It's not a good fit. She's not starting regularly. Their system doesn't match what Carlini is good at or even what the NT is doing. Really not ideal all around for someone who was supposed to be the shoe in/leading candidate for starting setter at the olympics after last summer
