You would think the absolute earliest would be for the games to begin in April/May. That is when the weather starts to get pleasant again in Toyko, with the least amount of possibility for weather restrictions. This certainly helps those who were on the outside in looking to qualify. Who does it benefit the most? Sara Hughes. Best player who was completely out of the qualification mix Depending on exactly how the qualification process changes, her best option might be to get back together with Summer, assuming she’s healthy.

Best player who was completely out of the qualification mix I don't know, how, logistically, a team not in the top 3 at this moment can pull it off. There will be no qualifying events until the end of the year, best case. So, moving then into 2021, how would a new team catch up with the teams far, far ahead of them?
