Is there a possibility we may seem some tournaments for the junior age being cancelled due to the coronavirus? There is a Spokane qualifier nearing in a few weeks and I heard the state is basically on lock down. If your teams tournament gets cancelled, what do you do to still earn a bid to JO’s?

It looks like Spokane is still on and they're monitoring the situation. Spokane is on the other side of the state from most of the coronavirus cases so maybe that will work in their favor for controlling the spread. If you only attend one NQ and it gets cancelled, I guess you have to qualify at regionals. Maybe USAV will allocate more bids to each region if an NQ is cancelled?

Our coach is worried Far Westerns in Reno may get cancelled. Pretty much everything in the west is a wait and see approach.

Talked to someone on a team in Seattle where half the players go to schools that are closed due to Coronavirus.
If that is representative of the teams in the Seattle area, who wants to play them? Doesn’t that make up a good portion of the tournament? How will California teams be impacted by then? How many flights to Spokane connect through Seattle?
If they don’t cancel the tournament I imagine there will be a fairly substantial drop out rate.
18’s nationals in Reno in May. I’m not holding my breath.

Watched some live video of the Sunshine qualifier. No pre or post going threw the line hand slaps. Is this something JVA and USAV implemented?

Coronavirus is no joke, but the non handshake IS really funny. The girls start to move forward...and then awkwardly wave at each other from a distance. And then they kill/block said ball in their virus free opponent's face.
