Does this give teams enough time to plan for Nationals? If it happens, I think so. It will be unusual, but this entire thing is unusual. Basically, we'd need to get back to practice at some point in May, attend the Badger Region championships, then have a month to get ready for BJNC. It sure would be nice if that actually happens. The real concern would be if we can get back to practice in May.

I do not see how they can hold the rest of the boys club season with no cure. How do you protect the athletes and fans from anyone who may be sick? How do you keep people 6ft away from each other in a convention center? Traveling to Reno in July? Will flying be safe? I know it's sad, especially for all the seniors but, we should just cancel the rest of the season and have the clubs give refunds back to the parents now. A lot of families may need extra money at this rough time. Plus it may be hard for families financially to handle the big expense to travel. Does anyone else have some thoughts on what USA volleyball could do? Any help families could possible get if Nationals are held?

The landscape of sports specifically junior and NCAA sports has the serious potential to be radically different very quickly.
I NEVER thought I would say that.

The landscape of sports specifically junior and NCAA sports has the serious potential to be radically different very quickly. I NEVER thought I would say that. How so? www.google.com/amp/s/www.si.com/.amp/college/2020/04/08/college-football-future-2020-ncaa-coronavirusThis article touches on some of the long term ramifications and scenarios. I would argue that even if by july we were back to 100% normal, these 2-4 months would reverberate for a least year in every Athletic Dept. Just think of the significance of losses of TV, radio, internet, clothing lines, ticket sales etc on the top programs an undertand it all trickles down. The State Budget massive issues for the Non Power 5 schools is .....well I'll leave that for the imagination and these schools need student attendance and tuition to pay for their Athletic Budgets. College admissions and attendance?? 🙏 I mean really, we have people from all walks of life and occupations who are getting crushed right now and lining up for food bank handouts.
