Fall football is very much in jeopardy. Do a Google search to see for yourself. I would rate the chances at about 10 percent that are fall sports at any level. Until we have a vaccine, social distancing is our new normal. That includes church, movies, malls, concerts, sports, and pretty much anything else that attracts groups of people.
I'll take 9:1 to odds that we see NCAA Championships in all fall sports.

Give me your address. I'll send you $10. If I win (NCAA does not hold championship for at least ONE of the fall sports), you send me $90.

Lol I'll take 9:1 odds, not give them.

Can you still send me the $90?

Again, that may depend upon whether there is "game changer" therapeutic. Barring that, when do teams start practicing, around August 1st? Let's say on June 1 most areas of the country have peaked and cases are dropping off quickly, then playing games in empty stadiums seems doable. Playing games with stadiums 1/4 full, people wearing masks and gloves, might be doable too, but that would be a real buzzkill. Summer college session are realistically in jeopardy which means empty campuses, no camps, and athletes loading up on carbs all summer long barely raising their heartbeats above 75 despite all their Instagram posts. A coaches nightmare for every fall sport. Its a distinct possibility. 😉 Summer sessions will be online. I'm approving syllabi right now as I write this. That's in NY, mind you, but the cycle of the virus will be later in other places, so I bet the summer session on campus is doomed everywhere.

'Wake me up when it's over...'. A fanciful wish oft expressed.
However the management of risk is inherent in every health decision. If one could skip into the future through induced hibernation, or induced medical coma, what are the risks of never waking up? Or waking up damaged, incapacitated, unable to function normally, or alone because everyone else has passed? Are the possible outcomes all known, and the odds? What about the unknowable unknowns?
People normally will choose some risk in health decisions over absolute safety. Because they understand that absolute safety is a false choice, it's Unobtainium, and the smallest amounts of it come at high cost. Because there is no such thing as a risk-less life worth living. Or risk-less societies worth living in.

Yeah, overall 2020 was sucking really badly even before coronavirus became all the headlines

University of Cincinnati is extending online learning through Summer Classes Aug. 8th. Soooo that puts a stop to any summer training I assume. Any one else already announced online through summer yet?

But if campuses are closed, there will be no training, and no one on campus. Now way you can have a few hundred athletes on campus, all together, and not expect a chance of an outbreak.
