Was at Sam's club last night and at every cash register lines are drawn maybe 1-1.5m apart. I took it we were suppose to stay that far apart.
On a separate note, Shanghai is officially "open" for business. They're recommending businesses operate as normal...stores, malls, restaurants, etc. Communities have taken down their checkpoints where they check visitor's temperature. Our apartment complex announced they're reopening the gym and pool, though only a limited number of people can be inside each time. Wonder if the chlorine in the pool would kill the virus?
Yes, Shanghai is opening up...and we heard the gov't is blocking all international flights into Beijing...possibly redirecting them to Shanghai so there are limited gateway for potential imported virus cases. I guess Shanghai didn't have enough cases in the first round.

The lines to get in at both Trader Joe's and Costco were so long today that my wife and decided it wasn't worth the wait. Raley's was better, though a few of the shelves were near empty and the checker was pretty confused about the "only 2 packages of meat" rule (only applied to identical types of meat, not any meat).

I go to grocery stores early in the morning. Shorter lines and as soon as they open the door, you zip right in. I pretty much get all my shopping done before 9:00 AM. (I haven't been to Costco since last week so I don't know how crazy they are.)

In the gig economy where many can work from home, Costco, food stores, and drug stores are probably the places you are most likely to pick up the virus. If there are 500 people inside a Costco store and a few unknowingly have the virus, transmission could be taking place. Standing in a Costco checkout line is one of the danger zones inside the store. Obviously, there are others.

I guess they made it optional for the employees, but I don't know why.

Here's one take: I've actually ran out of toilet paper and went with his approach. Don't forget, you're in a bathroom. Oh - how will I clean my butt in this room with a shower?

At least if you do, flush first. Your butt is like a lid to hold all the stink down, imagine what happens when you start blow drying. Hit the button by accident more than once and whoa!!!

Just how difficult is it to install a bidet?
And now the joke:
Because it looks like it would hurt.
