Would be nice if AVP/NBC shared some matches on the AVP youtube page so everyone can get to more easily. I mean seriously what's the point of archiving that footage in some secret vault somewhere. Granted, I suppose those with Amazon Prime can look back if wanting to watch some matches in recent years too while no live sports is going on

I tried and got the BIG RED SCREEN - not in your area....Cracks me up, our sport. Their efforts at marketing appear "poorly thought out"...I cannot imagine (though there could be a reason), why a 2 or 3 year old match can't be on YouTube . . . Make it easier, or don't market it....end of rant.

They could do a little better with this. I guess the FIVB didnt use the word Classic, but something older than two years might be nice. Why not some epic Rogers/Dalhausser v Rego/Santos or Steffes/Whitmarsh v Loiola/Rego or May/Walsh v Larissa/Juliana or about 50 other classic combos. Instead Ittlinger/Laborer v Sponcil/Claes. Wow, now we can flashback to the day it was finally decided whether the US or Germany had a better 4th best team!!!!

Not to pile on, but I tried to give the FIVB the benefit of the doubt and went there to try a few of these matches. I assumed these are all three setters. I started with Slaes/Germany but I skipped to the third, assuming that would be a nice tight 3rd game. It was noncompetitive. Slaes won by 5. WTF? So I went to the Tri/Trevor match. I watched some of the first two sets of that one. First game was a blowout but second was close. Then again settled in for what must be an epic 3rd game. Nope 15-10 and that was because Germany made a late run. You would never see this kind of trash from the AVP.

Trailing already by one set, Slaes also trailed by 6 points in the second but had a massive comeback to push it to tiebreak.
