Curious which teams are loaded with firepower this coming season. You may include the bench but may also just list the starters.
I’ll start with my team Hawaii:
OH1: Jolie R., Senior OH2: Brooke V.S., Senior Opp: Hanna H., Sophomore MH1: Amber I., Sophomore MH2: Skyler W., Senior
These were pretty much their starters last year with the lone loss of OH/DS McKenna Ross (who did a very excellent job in sparking the team when they were down on some matches).
Jolie is an excellent OH with a variety of shots. Wish she was not injured for the most part of the season, moving on. BVS is a very good all around player. She was Hawaii’s MVP vs Nebraska in the S16. Hanna was the Big West FOY, need I say more? Amber was All-Freshman Team. Will be a huge presence in the middle. Sky was the conference’s leader in hitting %.
Incoming freshman Anna Kiraly, Middle. Haven’t heard about her much but she looks to be promising!
I think that they have a strong chance to repeat as conference champions in 2020.
Go 🌈🌈🌈!

Will the 2020's fall season be affected by the Corona virus? Since the Olympics has already been postponed, the fall season will be affected for sure. I do hope this virus would be contained soon, but most likely not this year.

Any chance we might not turn one of the few active volleyball only threads onto yet another 'volleyball and COVID-19' thread? On topic: Surprised the OP didn't mention Rasmussen's blocking. In limited action last season she put up some of the best blocking numbers in the nation. If she plays a full season, that UH team will be prohibitive favorites in the BWC.

OSU has always done more of a platoon than starters/backups.
MB - Reilly Mac, Jordan Fry and Lauren Witte Fry and Witte have platooned the position for the last three years. They will both be Seniors. MacNeil was injured most of her freshman year, so still a bit of a wildcard.
Opp - Vanja Bukilic Was probably the best player on the team as a freshman, but then was nailed to the bench as a sophomore
OH - Gabby Gonzo, Mia Gruenze, Adria Powell and Jenasya Moore
Moore had a great Freshman year. Gonzalez was an immediate impact freshman as well. Powell noticeably improved her physique from years one to two, and Grunze is a brick wall of solid muscle.
edit: Rylee Rader and Emily Londot are the incoming frosh.

My favorite team graduates a 4 year, 6 rotation, all everything OH1. I hate when that happens! Even with options it is just a scary transition.

UCLA OH: May OH: McCall OPP: Ndiaye (Hadrych/Mosser*) MB: Ryan MB: Savage/Dodson/Smith (who knows)
*UCLA has posted their 2020 Roster (minus freshmen) and Mosser is listed as a Senior, though I know she went into the transfer portal. Not sure if she decided to start grad school with UCLA or is still possibly moving on.
Purdue OH: Newton OH: Ellis OPP: Cleveland MB: Johnson MB: Myers
That 2nd OH spot could go any way between the three returning sophomores (Ellis, Koch, Chinn) but I'm sticking with Ellis for now. A lot of returning firepower on the pins for Purdue this coming season and the entire back row returns too. Settle the passing = B1G year!

Colorado State
OH1: Breana Runnels, RS-Sr. OH2: Jacqi Van Liefde, RS-So. OPP: Ellie Gubser, Sr. MB1: Karina Leber, Fr. MB2: Sasha Colombo, Jr.
Honestly, the only guarantee at the moment is Runnels starting. The second OH position is a three-woman race between Van Liefde, Madison Boles (R-Fr.), and incoming freshman Kennedy Stanford. Runnels will be six-rotations, and Stanford could be as well.
Middles and right side could see a lot of shuffling around early in the season. Gubser is listed solely as an OPP, but could play in the middle, while Colombo can play either position as well. Hilbert is bringing in JUCO transfer Genesis Sheridan for the experience, but also seems pretty high on Karina Leber, so no clue how things will sort out until the fall.
Colorado
OH1: Jill Schneggenburger, So. OH2: Leah Clayton, RS-Sr. OPP: Sterling Parker, So. MB1: Meegan Hart, RS-Jr. MB2: Danielle Price, RS-Jr.
Buffs are bit easier to predict, as they only lose Justine Spann. I think her replacement will be between Clayton and Alcantara, but gave Clayton the nod for more leadership purposes.

I imagine that Londot will challenge Bukilic at opposite. I’ve got my eye on that battle.

Pitt: OH1: Kayla Lund (Sr) OH2: Jordan Lockwood (Jr, Navarro College/Houston) OPP: Chinaza Ndee (Sr) MB1: Sabrina Starks (Jr) MB2: Chiamaka Nwokolo (So)
OH2 is up in the air but Lockwood seems good and is incoming as a junior so I assume she is presumptive starter. MB2 could be flexible if we either get another good opp and move Ndee over or if Russ is able to get going. No recruiting class has been announced yet so this may change as I don't know what freshman are coming to Pitt.

OH1: Taylor Landfair OH2: Adana Rollins or Jenna Wennas I don’t know what Hugh will do M1: id assume shea rubright M2: Regan Pittman Pretty strong line up but I’m iffy about rubright in the middle I could see Husemann actually taking the second middle spot. Rubright strikes me as more of a player like Pittman, who can run a very strong slide. I could see her taking Pittman’s spot down the line. We haven’t seen either Husemann or Rubright do much offensively.... hoping one of them can bring it.

Baylor: OH1: Yossi Pressley (Sr) OH2: Lauren Harrison (R-So) OPP: Marieke van der Mark (R-Jr) MB1: Kara McGhee (So) MB2: Pressley as a senior is enough to win a lot of matches. Adding Harrison to the lineup should strengthen the offense as well. van der Mark and McGhee were both solid last season and I’m excited to see how they develop moving forward. The most concerning thing is McGhee is the ONLY middle listed on the 2020 roster. Baylor will be in desperate need of a high-caliber middle to transfer in.

Cal Poly OH1: Kristina Jordan OH2: Jamie Stivers (possibly Fr Lizzy Markovska if she gets going quickly) OPP: Maia Dvoracek MB1: Madilyn Mercer MB2: Meredith Philips
They bring back both Middles and Dvoracek returns as arguably the best player in the conference to be the 6-ro Opposite but they graduate both starting Outsides. Kristina Jordan comes in from West Virginia and looks likely to start at OH but will need a DS to pass for her. Stivers can pass but isn't terminal (Niki Cavote is similar) so there's an opportunity for incoming Freshman Lizzy Markovska to win a starting job immediately.
UCSB OH1: Tasia Farmer OH2: Sophie Messinger/Gigi Ruddins (Bri McKnight possibly) OPP: Tallulah Froley MB1: Rowan Ennis MB2: Deni Wilson
Similar story for the Gauchos. They bring back a very good Oppo in Froley and both MBs. Lost both 6 rotation OHs, including one of the best players in program-history, Lindsay Ruddins. As a natural OH, Farmer had an up & down freshman campaign playing Oppo in a 6-2 but ended with a great run in the tournament, hitting over .300 against Texas & Texas State. Her switch to the left seems natural but since she didn't pass at all this year her serve receive will likely be a work in progress. The other OH is anyone's guess. Messinger barely played as a Fr but is talented and a better passer than the younger Ruddins on a team that will really need ball control, having lost 92% of the passing from this year. The dark horse will be Bri McKnight. She fits the UCSB mould of sub 6', athletic OH with a fast-arm, there's a chance she could start the year at OH2.
