Seeing the epicenter of corona is NYC I think the smart thing to do is start with Huntington so nobody has to travel. Put that event in late June. Move NYC to August between Hermosa and MBO.
Thoughts?

Perhaps.
But they have to get approval from the various cities.

Thoughts? I would assume the epicenter being NYC will probably peek earlier than other parts of the country. So if NYC needs to be moved back so might everything else.

I don't see the AVP happening in June. Especially in New York of all places.

So are the postponement of the a olympics good news for guys like Brian Cook? I don't see any teams splitting up so he has to wait another year. Would have liked to see him and Rosie or him and Reid play together in some AVPs. Does anyone of you have insights on whether they cancle the complete tour this year? NY doesn't seem realistic...

I have a hard time imagining any sporting event taking place this year and if they do happen I really don't think they will have fans in the stands. Everyone is expecting the College Football and NFL season to be postponed or cancelled and those are huge money makers. If events like that are being cancelled, I have no faith that we will have any AVP event this year.

NYC seems slimmer and slimmer of a chance. Confirmed cases are still rising even though 100% of the non-essential workforce have been asked to stay home since last Friday.
Yesterday, they announced that all non-essential construction sites will be closed.
Hopefully things start to get better in two weeks.

I hope they do a CA only tour, we deserve all the events in our backyard. Huntington, Hermosa, Manhattan, Santa Monica work with me quite well.

There is no "beach volleyball as a career" as it is with the exception of the top teams and even then it's barely one when you throw in expenses.

They don’t treat it like a business. I know one player not even in the top 10 making 7k a month in sponsorship. So...depends if you’re intelligent with business.

In a small field (so 16 teams) there are just under half who are doing just fine as a career and its basically every player who is good enough to enjoy any FIVB success at all. On the womens side for example: 1) MHPavs 2) Ateam 3) Slaes 4) Stocsen 5) Walsh/Sweat - Not really an AVP team but Brooke is so Ill count it 6) Wilkerson/Hughes Who in that list is not in six figures? 7) Day/Flint are over 60k without sponsors or Betsi's college coaching money - whatever that may be, so Id say they are also in 6 figures
