Honestly, as heart-breaking as it was to end the season the way it was, I don't agree with seniors coming back next year. This can definitely create an unfair advantage for some teams should all their seniors return versus some teams where no seniors return. As well, it is unfair to the freshman. Record books will reflect this. Some freshmen who would be impact players may not get the chance to play. They may never get 100 wins, they may never get as many wins in the record books, etc. Some incoming freshmen may never even end up going to college or playing as a result.

I ended up chatting with all of them for quite some time and figured I'd post what didn't get used on The Viral Volley Podcast and on YouTube. Russell Brock has a great group of women playing for him... PODCAST: www.podbean.com/media/share/pb-dci5g-d759f0

What about the seniors that were chasing those same 100 wins? They will never have that opportunity. Some schools that were primed to possibly make their First NCAA appearance only to have it ripped from them. If a freshmen is an "impact player" then they should be able to crack the lineup at all but the most elite programs. If freshmen are worried about getting playing time then they should have the opportunity to get out of their commitments. Only fair.
If the schools can afford to give the kids on scholarship another year then I think they should. If parents want to shell out the money for their kids to do another year then I think they should have that opportunity.

To me Kristen Nuss is probably the most unique player in beach volleyball. The only player I know of that developed into a top level player outside the junior beach competitive world centered around Southern California national tournaments. She got really really good on her own, in a State not known for producing top level junior players. And on top of all this she's really short in comparison to most players. You gotta have huge drive to overcome those obstacles.
