This league has 16 teams potentially this year. I am not sure what is up with the last two as they barely have any players on their rosters. Not sure if they are going to move down to a lower league or if they just aren't going to make it this year. Both had very awful seasons last year with Beylikdüzü forfeiting several of its CEV Challenge Cup matches. Such a shame they lost their Hunter/Lee/Drews trio. They were so good.

I think the team also had other domestic players on loan from the bigger clubs. That is part of why they did so well too. This season the underdog teams to watch are Turkish Airlines (T.H.Y.) and Aydin B.L.D. Fenerbahce downgraded from Robinson to Busa. Their passing line is going to be atrocious which will neutralize any middle attack from Bahar and Eda which is a damn shame if you ask me. Basically we will see a copy of the Serbian NT sky ball launches to Mihajlović and Vargas. Yippie. Galatasaray only has one foreigner in Alessia Rykhliuk (UKR) which makes me wonder if they are hurting financially? I still think they will perform decently but not better than last season with Belien, Vasilantonaki and Kalaç on the previous roster in addition to Rykhliuk. Eczacibasi and T.H.Y. should be super exciting to watch! Carlini has some decent young talent on that roster to show off. Even their Libero transferred from Eczacibasi for this season.

Surely not Akoz? No. Akoz is the best Libero in the league. Aslan was probably just tired of never playing any matches except vs. the bottom teams. Interestingly the back-up Libero to Gizem Örge at Vakifbank, Pinar Atasever, also transferred but to Aydin B.L.D. They both could be meh players but surely they grew while at least training at their former elite clubs? We shall see!

Has she played for the Canadian NT yet? And what position did she play while at Penn State? I though I saw her playing MB in 2018. I guess I am just curious if she will be an OH or an OPP?

She played a big utility role for PSU. Mostly MB and OH. I don't think she ever played opposite but I could be wrong. I don't think she's ever played for the CNT either. My bet, looking at their roster, is that she'll be a MB. or just flat out utility, playing wherever she needs to be

However do you think that will tarnish her development a bit in the long run?

MB is where she spent the most time and imo, where she's best.

I think she could do some real damage as an opposite, her experience as a middle blocker helps her with the blocking senses and the year as an Outside helped with adjustment to sets and what not. I watched them a few times and when she hit from the right while Jonni was on the left, wow was she deadly. I preferred her there over parker in all honesty.

Yea she definitely has the skills to play opp... Her blocking is underrated, really good positioning

Well her team has 4 foreigners and only 3 are allowed on the court at one time. If she is playing MB then she will almost certainly play in most matches. As for Opp...there is already one who was with the team last season, Dajana Bosković (BIH). Yeah I know...another Bosković lol. Then of course you have Mitchem and another outside hitter Matea Ikić (CRO). The one thing Gorrell and Mitchem have in their favor is that they are the tallest players on the team. That could be the deciding factor. We'll have to wait and see!

She was slated to train with the NT this summer from what I was told but then training obviously got shut down. I think she'll break into the third MB spot on the NT honestly, behind Cross and Maglio.
