I actually have a few questions about Ms. Gorrell? Has she played for the Canadian NT yet? And what position did she play while at Penn State? I though I saw her playing MB in 2018. I guess I am just curious if she will be an OH or an OPP? She was slated to train with the NT this summer from what I was told but then training obviously got shut down. I think she'll break into the third MB spot on the NT honestly, behind Cross and Maglio. Even though she had already signed with a professional team AS A PIN??

That is what I was told by a member of the national team.

Besiktas and Beylikduzu appear to have dropped from this league. Can anyone validate this rumor?

I've been re-watching some of last year's NCAA tournament and wow Gorrell really lit it up on the outside last year. Had 15 kills with a .519 clip against Cincinnati, and then had 13 kills on a .667 clip against Stanford. Hoping she plays on the outside or right side and improves her back court game a lot in Turkey. She definitely looks awkward when digging, but I'm sure she just doesn't have a lot of reps. She actually reminds me a lot of Mitchem (switching from middle to outside), so it's funny they're on the same team this year.

Nilufer Belediyesi (Bursa) has gone through health screening and tests, and are in the gym practicing. Are the other players/teams back in the gym as well?

I think Gorell could play MB 3 but she will have competition from Layne Van Buskirk who is playing in France this year. I think a lot will depend on what position she will be playing in Turkey, and perhaps, what Black has recruited her for.
Mitchem > Gorell at OH for their Turkish team.

Well, Vakifbank has been back since last week. We could see MBH flying out there next week!

I have seen Bosković get more solo blocks than any other pin hitter in the game today. Egonu isn't as tall but she has a crazy leap on her so she too shuts down most players. Both have wicked top spin serves. Bosković being a lefty sometimes plays in her favor as most teams cannot dig her attacks. I really feel for her during the past 3 seasons at Eczacibasi. The setters they have had have been sub par. This year isn't likely to get much better.
