Who and when was the first commit for 2023? Hayden Kubik, 12:01 AM Thanks for the response, but I don't think that's true though. I know everyone knew she was going to Nebraska, but she announced her commitment on Instagram on June 17.

Thanks for the response, but I don't think that's true though. I know everyone knew she was going to Nebraska, but she announced her commitment on Instagram on June 17. Not sure it matters. I looked to check my memory. Hayden Kubik says she got two early morning calls, Nebraska and Wisconsin. Quote in Lincoln Journal Star Editor's Choice article Ap 18, 2022: “I was on the phone with Nebraska at 12:01 a.m. on the 15th,” Kubik said. She did make her press announcement on June 17th.

Of course, she did, indeed, commit right at midnight on June 15th but not for 2023. Who was the first 2023?

do these early commits pay any visits on campus? Yes, a number of schools have early June camps for this reason and a lot of players are going to them. Also, most of the big names visited campuses last summer and fall.

There are two 2023's that committed as 8th graders. Those would be the earliest =)

Sorry, I was responding to a question about 2023s. That being said, I do not think 2024s were able to even communicate with coaches, nor make a verbal commitment, after the rule changes.
Zero communication with a coach until June 15 after sophomore year. No official visits, unofficial visits or off-campus contact until August 1 before junior year. No recruiting conversations or verbal offers until June 15 after sophomore year.

Acevedo was before the rule changes and committed as a seventh grader.

“Zero communication” until June 15 after sophomore year. Lol, that’s funny.

“Zero communication” until June 15 after sophomore year. Lol, that’s funny. If "zero communication" ='s (not so) subtle hints... this statement would be accurate.
