So what's this going to look like? I've talked to some beach reps but what about indoor? Any club/collegiate coaches out there?

So what's this going to look like? I've talked to some beach reps but what about indoor? Any club/collegiate coaches out there? SCVA has cancelled all tournaments for the remainder of the 2020 season. Still waiting for word on updated tryout dates. We are doing some fun stuff and resuming some form of team practice tomorrow. We are unable to reserve any indoor time at our local gym until (possibly) July 1.

Please share what you've heard about the nets going back up!
Our club has allowed very limited "family only" court time as a dry run for reopening. (I found out, definitively, that I do in fact suck.)
The last scva update held out some hope for smaller tourneys this summer, and loosened the roster rules, but im not convinced there's enough time or gyms to make it a go.

I’ve heard that nothing can even be considered until July 15 for D1.

Anybody know what item 4 on their update about "offering optional tournaments for those that would like to participate" means?

The SCVA site hasn't had another update but I heard (with a degree or two of separation) CDs got an email last week form SCVA calling it for all tourneys, friendly or otherwise this summer. Best bet now for organized tournaments is sometime in July on the beach at soonest if at all. Tryouts for next season indoor club are still a question mark as well as gym space for clubs that rent.

The State approved outdoor recreation as of today in Counties that already were further ahead in the reopening process. I saw that Huntington Beach announced this morning that their Junior Lifeguard program that they had previously cancelled, will be offered afterall. Hopefully this same mindset will prompt them to put the nets back up.

Wasn't an email. We've been having zoom meetings organized by a couple directors of larger clubs in the SCVA with Shannon, to get updates.

Space in the Grass Club is limited! You can view all information about our Grass Club program and health & safety measures on our website: www.b2bvolleyball.com/grass

Here's the CIF guidance on reopening: cifstate.org/covid-19/Resources/RTP_Combined.pdffor VB, the only allowed activity: "Conditioning, individual ball handling drills, each player has own ball. A player should not use a single ball that others touch or hit in any manner." This will likely be applied to clubs that rent, though we could move out of this phase by the end of August.

Thanks for all the updates everyone. It is so hard to get info. City websites are NOT helpful at all. For you "in-the-know" keep them coming.
In Newport (I know it was Newport because I surf there regularly) that April Ross BUILT her own court and had it on her Instagram Story. Newport has NOT been enforcing the State recommended restrictions so I'm sure they got a really good practice in...
