If you want to discuss race and other issues, do it on the off the net board, not on volleyball threads. We’ve allowed members to discuss current events on the Off the Net board. The volleyball forums are for volleyball. Members who blatantly disregards this warning will be banned without further notice. I’ve had enough of people not following directions. Defund the moderators! Use the money we save on privates for underrepresented positions! What? They pay the moderators what now? For all the crap they put up with? Seriously? Never mind. Carry on. |

Thank you VT Five-0. I agree 100%. This is not the right website for political opinions. Personal resentments are created and work their way into volleyball discussions. Nothing productive comes from it.

Racism may be viewed as a political issue, but really it's non-partisan as we well know. |

While I do think there (theoretically) could be relevant discussion about racial issues that are directly tied to volleyball teams (just like there could be relevant discussion about title IX/gender discrimination, or abuse allegations by coaches), in reality, I highly doubt any such discussions would ever really accomplish anything useful and would quickly dissolve into bickering and namecalling. So keeping such topics out of this forum is definitely a smart move How is this different from about 70% of the discussions on this board??? |
