I believe in common sense government. If it’s a national disaster then all cities deserve some funding. If it’s self caused whether it’s Republican or Democrat, that city should be responsible for its own costs. Because of the poor decisions of leader ship, why should the rest of the country be responsible for the cost? Gotcha. The reason I asked is because you specified Democrat cities in your post. Please share with me the Republican managed cities that were damaged and rioting. Then we can talk.

San Diego, Jacksonville, Fort Worth, Oklahoma City, Omaha, Miami...all Republican mayors, all the scenes of protests turning violent. So perhaps there is something to talk about after all.

Phoenix. Malls in Mesa, AZ are the ones I know about. Even the Brigham Young statue in Provo was defaced.

Even the Brigham Young statue in Provo was defaced. If any local government failed to uphold law and order then they can pay for it. It’s pretty simple.

You do know the money for state and local governments has nothing to do with the protests, right?

holiday, do you support a payroll tax suspension? If so, why? Absolutely, in the age of Covid, I can speak for the businesses in my area, it’s a small thing you can do to help Main street survive until a vaccine is found.

You do know the money for state and local governments has nothing to do with the protests, right? Most of the protesters didn’t give a rats behind about George Floyd. It was all about politics.

And, I will repeat myself, any city who allowed this type of behavior to go on without cracking down deserves to pay for it.

When you know this kind of thing is coming, show absolutely no tolerance for violence. Does placating violent rioters ever win the game?

Does placating violent rioters ever win the game? ‘I’ve never gone through anything with you! I’m just not sure where your line is. Do you think police, swat units, should be on rooftops mowing people down? To be clear, I think looting and rioting are abhorrent. How to deal with these folks is not an easy answer.

I'm sure some have seen the meme with the manure canon. I think that would be awesome for riot control.
But many Karens, along with the ACLU and of course all the VT whiners, will deem that as a violation of someone's civil rights.

There’s probably 0% chance of a stimulus or extra unemployment this month. September could be ugly!
