Do we have a pro transfer market thread? I'm surprised no one is asking for Gage and Rado. both are Pro ready or even Gazman. rado is playing pro, but i forget which team he signed to. Gasman is playing in brazil with felipo from BYU. unknown with gage yet. Gage is going pro in Bulgaria.

Just guessing, Rado's agent is Bulgarian, and Gage signed with him to get a deal (hard for Liberos usually). Play one season there, then off to the next stop. Gage will be with the USMNT soon, and bigger clubs will come for him.

Rado is signed with a Serbian agent. It is the same agent that represents Atanasojevic, Podrascanin, and Petkovic. Gage is signed with a Finnish agent, Nisse Huntanen. They are some of the few guys not to sign with Bogdan Oltenaeu out of Hawaii. I know that Joe signed with Bogdan, but when their contract was up he moved over to LZPro and Xavier Kapfer.
I think it will take some time for him to get to bigger clubs, just because of the nature of the beast. I spoke with Mark Lebedew over Skype, and he said foreign liberos can be on the national team but still will not be in the top leagues because it is not a position they want to use a foreign player on. The fact we have two American liberos in the top three leagues is pretty amazing. And it took both of them multiple years to get there after going through places like Finland, Austria, France and Germany.
The last libero we had in Poland (before Watten and Shoji) was actually AJ Nally. He was signed as an OH and moved to libero by Vital Heynen during the 2014-15 season.
France and German are libero-friendly leagues because of the loose foreigner restrictions. That was where Erik started and then made the move to a liegot legitimate club after playing in Austria. But he was also going to play with his brother and for a club that had experience with putting Americans on the roster. You also have to realize that while Erik is one of the top 2-3 liberos in the world, when he got to Berlin on 2014, he wasn’t even playing the whole time or starting regularly. When he was in the court he was only playing defense and not serve receive. It wasn’t until winter did he establish himself there.
It will be interesting to see Gage’s path. Nisse has continually gotten Watten good deals, so hopefully he can speed that process up for Worsley.
