Isn’t the entire point of changing the name is that you people used the argument that it offended Native Americans which it didn’t. That was your entire argument, remember? Now that the polls have come out and 90% of the native Americans thought it was a compliment, do you not care about their opinion now? That's a) not what the survey said and b) there was already a link posted about some problems with the survey. Again, who is hurt by changing it? you offend me, I want you to change your screen name. Because it offends me. I mean, what will it hurt? Your opinion offends me, I would prefer that you don’t post any more. Do you see how ridiculous this can become? Please don’t reply, because it offends me. And what will it hurt if you just learn to shut up.

I didn't ignore your links. I even posted resources that criticized your study. You didn't even read the second link you posted (it's honestly too good – a quote: "The name is a dictionary-defined slur, whether or not 10 percent of Native Americans or 50 percent of your co-workers or your favorite aunt acknowledge it.") Then, you ignored the more recent and more comprehensive research I posted. And there you go again. Going on some tangent about "the left" (and wtf? How on Earth did we get to blacks supporting the police?) and resorting to your same old diversionary tactics. bottom line, you just cannot admit that you’re wrong. This entire argument started out that it was offensive to Native Americans. When I proved that was not the case with two excellent sources, you ignored it. Pathetic. You didn’t prove me wrong. There are competing sources, and I explained why my source is better. The fact you keep saying I ignored your “two excellent sources” (tbh, I think you ignored your second source, since I’ve actually read it and it doesn’t support you like you think it does) either means you’re trolling, lying, or delusional. When there’s competing evidence out there, you don’t just get to kick and scream that your evidence is right. I know since you usually don’t back up your claims with evidence, this is a new experience for you, but even I’m a little shocked at your childish argumentation skills right now.

I love this now you’re discrediting the sources that provide you with your news. It can’t get any better than this.

LOL where have I ever said I get my news from the Washington Post? What a lazy assumption. AND LOL if you actually read your second source, you’d know that the Washington Post didn’t do the second survey, and that the author herself qualifies the findings.
Hopeless. Absolutely hopeless.

Once again proving that you can't please all of the people, all of the time. They're apparently some fringe group that wants to maintain native iconography/team nicknames.

Plenty of Commanders fans have already been boycotting the team, but that’s mostly because Washington sucks at football.

Right or wrong, native Americans have a representation in sports, that other groups do not. That being said, I would have assumed "Redskins", is one team name that few would have objected to getting rid of.

Teams should only be named after white people.
(That's the correct stance, right?)

Teams should only be named after white people. (That's the correct stance, right?) At first, I couldn't think of any, but then the "Fighting Irish" came to mind. I assume that's a predominantly "White" group.

I assume that's a predominantly "White" group. Celtics Knickerbockers (Knicks) refers to Dutch settlers and the pants they wore. Yankees, from when the term was originated was in reference to mostly white people (New England soldiers in the 18th century) Cavaliers were supporters of King Charles
