Why bother ? Save the athletes eligibility and try in 2021.

I mean, are that many more people going to tune into Rutgers, Maryland, Northwestern, Purdue, Indiana football? Certainly more than Bowling Green. But this is very true. I watched soccer live MLS soccer last night. People will watch ANY college football right now.

Why bother ? Save the athletes eligibility and try in 2021. Because a lot of these women want to get on with their lives. If it becomes impossible to play the season, then you certainly have to cancel. But 'it's easier to just cancel and give them another year of eligibility' is not a good enough reason.

If they want to move on what will stop them?? No sense playing a shortened season that will mean nothing.

Is it too late for us all to redshirt 2020? depends on if you've worn a f*cking mask or not.

Sadly, I think this is the first step to cancelling the season. Covid isn’t going away anytime soon. Can you imagine an athlete testing positive while on the road? How do you isolate and treat that athlete and get them home safely? Do you assume all teammates are then infected? Do you cancel the match and head home? Ugh, I can’t imagine trying to navigate all the what if’s....I tend to believe that August 1st will be a big milestone for the P5s to make final decisions.

Why bother ? Save the athletes eligibility and try in 2021. And what happens to the 2021s who are still praying and hoping to be signing their LOI in Nov? Or the classes behind them? Or the girls excited to be going to join the team in January. A cancelled season will impact not just this year, but several years down the road.

Talked to one of the players in the A10 and they’re doing conference only as well.

Depending factor is whether the team you root for did better than expected or worse than expected.

Anyone notice the keyword in the big ten announcement?: "To that end, the Big Ten Conference announced today that if the Conference is able to participate in fall sports (men’s and women’s cross country, field hockey, football, men’s and women’s soccer, and women’s volleyball) based on medical advice, it will move to Conference-only schedules in those sports." Yeah I would say this is a a first step toward no season. My prediction, most likely some school somewhere gives it a go, we get a couple of positives, then hell breaks lose. What does Mr fox say?

Well, given the state of Nebraska football, it might be them not getting money from volleyball this year. Nebraska Football had over $59 million profit last year while volleyball made a small profit. Nice try but completely wrong Profit?!

It's going to happen, it's only a question of when. The implications are far-reaching.
