The Cook/Pardon train was surprising to me, especially at that price. I like their game when they are on, but they are so up and down, and the break may not play to their advantage. Risk/Reward I suppose! Barely edged Shaw to get in, but did come through. I cant believe I actually enjoyed watching a Sheila Shaw match. Thanks JB SouthpawI do enjoy the crafty play of Cook/Pardon, but when it isn't working it is really tough to watch. Looks like we got more Jekyll than Hyde this time around.

Ok, here are your paid participants. G2 and Gaucho have the same picks. A lot of faith in teams with a Crabb. Big buy in on Callahan/Jones, I guess no bad publicity is true! I like Randy's bet on the top women's teams. $67 on the line! Team mens1 mens2 mq1 womens1 womens2 wq1 ShaneM2005 - Crabb/Gibb - Bourne/Crabb - Benesh/Beranek - Claes/Sponcil - Hughes/Wilkerson - Cannon/Reeves - $993,000 gauchoball11 - Crabb/Gibb - Bourne/Crabb - Kolinske/Rosenthal - MHP/Pavan - Larsen/Stockman - Callahan/Jones - $996,000 guest2 - Crabb/Gibb - Bourne/Crabb - Kolinske/Rosenthal - MHP/Pavan - Larsen/Stockman - Callahan/Jones - $996,000 highline - Crabb/Gibb - Bourne/Crabb - Bomgren/Field - Claes/Sponcil - Larsen/Stockman - Cook/Pardon - $980,000 stevek - Crabb/Gibb - Bourne/Crabb - Allen/Slick - Hughes/Wilkerson - Larsen/Stockman - Cook/Pardon - $905,000 randy40 - Casebeer/Hyden - Bourne/Crabb - Kolinske/Rosenthal - MHP/Pavan - Klineman/Ross - Callahan/Jones - $996,000 robonthemic - Crabb/Gibb - Bourne/Crabb - Kolinske/Rosenthal - Claes/Sponcil - Hughes/Wilkerson - Callahan/Jones - $981,000 wyomingpancake - Crabb/Gibb - Budinger/Schalk - Kolinske/Rosenthal - Hughes/Wilkerson - Day/Fendrick - Dowdy/Muno - $993,000 thadius24 - Dalhausser/Lucena - Bourne/Crabb - Bomgren/Field - Hughes/Wilkerson - Day/Fendrick - Cook/Pardon - $900,000 Im optimistic about them but for most of us it seems like it was a financial play. Only robonthemic could have afforded a different women's Q team I had a REAL scientific method in choosing my women's teams-- I interviewed at least one of them since COVID shut everything down-- just check the VolleyballMag.com or Viral Volley Podcast feed

ShaneM2005 is already out, he has the same top 4 teams as robonthemic but Rob has Callahan/Jones left also. wyomingpancake is still alive in theory but needs to make up a gigantic 4 point deficit, which is practically impossible

Not this week anyway. Those two losses make you the second elimination, also due to not being able to beat Rob.

I've given every Q team that didn't make it in a 9th, not 7th that was an error. This is where we stand, with teams still alive you getting your worse possible finish. Everyone did a horrible job picking the men's Q teams, but great job picking the MD teams, only 1 team picked has been eliminated before the semis. The women, still not having played their semis will have the bigger impact. There is going to be some 5ths. Player - T1 - T2 - T3 - T4 - T5 - T6 - CAP - Standings robonthemic - Crabb/Gibb - Bourne/Crabb - Kolinske/Rosenthal - Claes/Sponcil - Hughes/Wilkerson - Callahan/Jones - $981,000 - 28 gauchoball11 - Crabb/Gibb - Bourne/Crabb - Kolinske/Rosenthal - MHP/Pavan - Larsen/Stockman - Callahan/Jones - $996,000 - 30 guest2 - Crabb/Gibb - Bourne/Crabb - Kolinske/Rosenthal - MHP/Pavan - Larsen/Stockman - Callahan/Jones - $996,000 - 30 highline - Crabb/Gibb - Bourne/Crabb - Bomgren/Field - Claes/Sponcil - Larsen/Stockman - Cook/Pardon - $980,000 - 30 stevek - Crabb/Gibb - Bourne/Crabb - Allen/Slick - Hughes/Wilkerson - Larsen/Stockman - Cook/Pardon - $905,000 - 30 ShaneM2005 - Crabb/Gibb - Bourne/Crabb - Benesh/Beranek - Claes/Sponcil - Hughes/Wilkerson - Cannon/Reeves - $993,000 - 32 randy40 - Casebeer/Hyden - Bourne/Crabb - Kolinske/Rosenthal - MHP/Pavan - Klineman/Ross - Callahan/Jones - $996,000 - 32 thadius24 - Dalhausser/Lucena - Bourne/Crabb - Bomgren/Field - Hughes/Wilkerson - Day/Fendrick - Cook/Pardon - $900,000 - 34 wyomingpancake - Crabb/Gibb - Budinger/Schalk - Kolinske/Rosenthal - Hughes/Wilkerson - Day/Fendrick - Dowdy/Muno - $993,000 - 36 2 people are playing for fun this round, they'd be right in the meat of the pack. @pundit Taylor Crabb/Jake Gibb - Tri Bourne/Trevor Crabb - Billy Allen/Stafford Slick - Kelly Claes/Sarah Sponcil - Sara Hughes/Brandie Wilkerson - Kimberly Hildreth/Sarah Schermerhorn -34 westcoastmom - Casebeer/Hyden - Budinger/Schalk - Billy Allen/Stafford Slick - Klineman/Ross - Larsen/Stockman - Callahan/Jones - 34

I do want to think about tie breakers going forward Probably will be less commonality going forward. The low seed for Bourne/Crabb made them pretty irrestisible this week. Maybe picking the top 4 in the Q as the tiebreak?

I saw on page one, you were all saying that the worst finish in the MD was 5th place. But teams who went 0-2 in the MD finished 7th. So two teams finished 3rd, two teams finished 5th, and two teams finished 7th.
