what I think Alhassan is twice the player that Butler is. It's not even close. present day? yes but Butler has the potential, there's a reason Karch has invited her to camps/rosters. she just needs to be free of Gabriel and co. as a texas fan, hate to admit it, but I agree. Her blocking is much improved but because the connection is so inconsistent you rarely see the Butler that we saw with Hilley during the youth NT days just blowing up balls. |

Butler is another Alhassan but with a better arm IMO. Lots of work to be done. Yes Butler's movement is a lot better. She needs a setter who can do what she needs (Alhassan did too) rhamat is wonky but she’s very fast. |

Both Rhamat and Butler need to be in Anaheim. Case closed, next Middle have to be quick at the next level. Having a huge world class vert isn’t the only thing that matters. |

From the 2021/22 Pro Season - US Players Overseas & Transfers thread
- Jordan Thompson and Chiaka are seen in clips training in the gym
- Cuttino, Hentz and Gray are training with the team as well
- I noticed Bajema has been in California since last week via her IG but no sights of her actually in the gym, looks like she may just be visiting her sister around Newport Beach

Bumping this thread back. Any new news? I don't anticipate any surprises with the VNL roster. I wonder if Karch will invite any collegiate players like Butler/Lilley/Eggleston/other-standouts-I'm-forgetting to train, I'd assume Rettke will be there to train though since she is already established.

I'm fine if we use the general VNL thread @avid created to discuss any lingering rosters. There are like 3-4 VNL threads floating around on here. Or we can use this one since it is specifically for USA's roster.

I’d like to see lilley and eggleston get in there. Wouldn’t expect much of eggleston bc it would all be very new and she still needs work in her backcourt game. I don’t think lilley would be super competitive with the top 3 setters rn, but I don’t think she’d do a bad job, all 3 of those setters are ncaa legends like lilley was, but they have a few years of pro ball under their belts. |

Where's Simone Lee? Simone's ball control isn't good enough to be an OH for Karch. She's vibing in Japan and I think she's switching to Germany this season. She's having a great career so far, but unless her passing drastically improves I don't know if she comes back to the national team. |

I don’t think Simone lee is good enough to compete with majority of the OHs in usas gym. Not bc she’s black. Bc I don’t think she’s physically good enough at volleyball. I have never once spoken down on a player or singled out a player bc they were black. Are u saying bc I’m not a Texas fan I’m now racist?? Show me a racist post or anything of that matter that I have posted and I’ll listen. Otherwise get a life ur flat out weird for that |
