This weekend's two-match Big Sky Conference volleyball series between Montana State and Southern Utah slated for Sunday March 14 and Monday March 15 in Bozeman have been canceled due to a positive COVID-19 test within Montana State's program.
At this time, Big Sky Conference matches that are canceled will not be rescheduled.

Uhhh
1. when did Weber State become good? 2. Shouldn't a 6 be by SUU? 3. Feels like this tournament is anyone's guess. Like 5 teams could win this thing. Anyone have some insight?

Go Jacks! But also rooting for Sac. St. and Mont. St. because of AZ girls on those teams.

I have to root for Weber State here, as they are my mom's alma mater. I'm mostly aware of NAU because of their elite men's cross country program.

Wow. Just did some research on the history of this conference. This conference has been owned by essentially 3 schools. NAU, UNC, and Sacramento St the last 10-15 years. Outside a minor blip by North Dakota and Idaho St. These 3 schools have dominated this conference. This conference also had CSUN and Boise St in it at a time. I never knew that.
UNC has got to be the favorite here. Winning last years regular season and conference tournament. I remember seeing them play Hawaii and they competed well. I think their setter hurt her ankle. Has anyone even watched this conference this year. Wondering what your opinions are?
Also very interested in the rise of two non VB schools in Montana State and Weber State.

I would guess that Weber State's rise has coincided to some degree with the fall of Utah State, since they're very close to each other. They play in different conferences, of course, but I imagine Weber State is getting some recruits that Utah State would have gotten previously. I just looked up Weber State's head coach, Jeremiah Larsen, and apparently he was the associate head coach and recruiting coordinator at Utah State before taking the Weber State job, so that lends even more credence to my theory, which was originally based more on geography than anything else. Oh, and I disagree that Northern Colorado should be the favorite. Weber State lost a five-setter to them in the conference title game last season and won both matches in the regular season this year.

SUU was undefeated at home, and winless on the road. Not sure how that translates to neutral sites. Or if it even matters, considering the opponent.
