Thanks for organizing JB! Also, I'll be posting a recap with Jeff Alzina-- the final one-- today. What kind of input do you guys have regarding the Court 2 stream and commentating? I'm sure he would appreciate objective critiquing! I loved the court 2 commentating. It was a really excellent contrast to Center Court, sort of a commentary for hardcore fans that really got into the nuances of the game without so much "Sara and Brandie are always smiling" kind of stuff. I appreciated their frankness when they saw what they thought were mistakes and how they conveyed that without seeming to knock players. Would love for them to continue doing this, made my viewing experience much more fun, as did your podcasts before and during the series.

I'm sure he would appreciate objective critiquing! I second guest2's points about greatly appreciating the depth of description and honest critical evaluation of play and strategies. Constructively, as someone who hasn't played beach, I think there were times when they could've described what different block and/or defensive calls mean. Took me a while to infer that a 4 block on the beach is taking angle, and on court 2 they would use more technical terminology without explaining in layman's terms (which is still better than the comparative lack of analysis on 1).

I agree withe positive comments about court 2 commentary. I would actually suggest that they talk with the court one commentators about ways to make it a better experience for their listeners. There were so many times that I could only listen instead of viewing. I know the commentary is meant to compliment what you watch, but I was surprised at how often there was silence from everyone on court one. There were also times where you could not get a clear idea of what was going on in the game for several points. I understand wanting it to be fun and to add to the play by play, but there was so much talk that had very little to do with the game or the people playing on the sand. They could add that “flair” while still calling the action.

Just the addition of the second camera on Court 2 was a huge improvement over last year. The only thing missing now is the ability to show replays.
Agree with the others on the commentators. Mati and Jeff were great.
